You do not have to be a member of Fairview Swim and Tennis Club to enroll in swim lessons. 

Member Discounts

• Fairview Members will receive a $5 discount per drop in private class. Send us your membership verification prior to registering to receive a discount code.
• Families/households that are enrolling more than 2 children in private lessons, will receive a $15 discount for each additional child starting with the third child. Reach out to us prior to enrolling to receive a discount code.

Clients may not share discount codes with anyone. Sharing your discount code will result is dismissal from the program.

Location
Fairview is located at 707 Belvedere Boulevard, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

If you need stroller access or ADA access, you may park on the grass on the left side of the pool from the parking lot. There is a gate by the covered pavilion area (if you're in the parking lot facing the pool, the left side of the building) that can be used for accessibility. You can access the gate from this spot to bypass the stairs. 

Facility Policies for Non-Members

We are grateful to our hosts for renting us space at their membership-based facility this spring and summer. Our hosts have asked us to share a few reminders when visiting the facility. We would like to maintain a positive relationship with our hosts, so please read the following information carefully.

• When you arrive, please check in at the desk area and let the facility attendant/lifeguard know that you are there for swim lessons with CVSS (starting Memorial Day Weekend).
• Please limit your on-deck guests to one parent. Not only can a hovering parent and grandparent be a distraction to the child during lessons, but deck space and seating are limited for nonmembers. 
• If you need to bring siblings not enrolled in swim lessons with you, please be prepared by bringing an activity for them. Siblings are not permitted to use the pool or any of the wading pools.
• Please enter the facility no more than 10 minutes before lesson time. 
• Lessons do not include free swim time for the student enrolled, parents, or siblings. If you enter the pool without being a member, your lesson package will be canceled, and you will not be eligible for a refund.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel a lesson due to illness or emergency, please provide us with a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Cancellations outside this window are not eligible for a refund or makeup class.

 You may cancel the class yourself within 24 hours and schedule your own make-up class for a later date. 

If the program is canceled by the facility, a credit will be issued for a makeup class date. If the class cannot be made up, a refund will be issued. 

Refunds
All sales are final. Due to the nature of our services and limited availability, we do not offer refunds for missed classes, schedule conflicts, or changes of plans. 

We encourage families to carefully review their schedules before enrolling. 

Reminders

• Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes early for each class for time to change and use the restroom. 
• Please put long hair in a ponytail or braids. 
• Goggles are recommended but are not required. We usually have some available to borrow during lessons. 
• We recommend purchasing a 2mm shorties wetsuit for kids who get cold easily. These can be found online for typically under $40 and are great additions for beach vacations. 

Inclement Weather
Lessons will not be held if there is thunder or lightning in the area. If thunder or lightning occurs mid-lesson, additional time can be added to make up for the lost time by adding 5 to 10 minutes to future lessons, schedule permitting.

We try our best to not cancel classes due to inclement weather and provide as much notice as possible if a storm is incoming. Central Virginia weather is tricky and we try our best to navigate the changing weather patterns the best that we can. Your instructor will contact you in the event of inclement weather.
