CITY OF ELLIOT LAKE 
CALL FOR MUSICAL ARTISTS!
 

The City is looking for musical talent to perform at the following upcoming events:

  • Street Dance (1 opener position)
  • Summer Concert Series (4 featured artist positions)

The Street Dance is a licensed community concert that takes places in downtown Elliot Lake with gates opening at 7:00PM. This year's headliner is Ontario musician Coleman Hell with supporting act ABBAMANIA. The opening set is expected to be 45 minutes from 7:00PM to 7:45PM. Artist compensation is $550 CAD.

The Summer Concert Series is a set of outdoor concerts, sponsored by Seidel's Brandsource, at Westview Park (rain out venue: Collins Hall) on select Fridays from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. These are free, non-ticketed events for all ages. Each featured artist can arrange a set for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 2 hours. Artist compensation is $350 CAD.

All musicians are required to provide their own equipment, sign a waiver and photo release agreement, and provide adequate insurance.

All applications must be submitted by May 8th to be considered.

2. If selected, I/my group will provide a valid certificate of insurance that meets the City's requirements:

  • Commercial General Liability insurance in an amount not less than five million dollars ($5,000,000.00)
  • The Corporation of the City of Elliot Lake listed as Additional Insured.

Note: Participants may purchase a one-time event insurance policy through the City's User Facility Program for a fee of $57.75.

3. If selected, all participating members of the musical act will sign a liability waiver, photo release, and indemnity clause.

4. I/my group will provide, transport, and set up all the equipment necessary for a successful performance, unless otherwise arranged.

5. All participating members will wear clothing free of obscenities or offensive content.

6. The performance will be respectful and free of violence.
