This is a new method of organizing events for students to attend at UNBC and is a trial run. This will be held on Wednesday May 14th from 8:30am-2pm. STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPLYING THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE EVENT. We are able to arrange transportation if it is needed, this will not be a barrier for you to attend the event. There are only 100 seats available, and it will be first come, first served for registration. See the itinerary below:
1. Arrival & Check-in 8:30 – 9:00
2. Large seminar-style class (100 students) 9:00 – 10:00 HISTORY
3. Breakouts into related tutorial sections (20 students each x 5) – themed around careers 10:10 – 10:50 (History, Political Science, Global and International Studies, and Anthropology, Women’s and Gender Studies or English)
4. Lunch (funded by FISSSH Dean Dr. Kriston Rennie) 11:00 AM
5. Campus Tour activity (led by Future Students team) 12:00 PM
6. Students’ Choice of 4 Classes – smaller style, diverse FISSSH topics (25 students max in each) 1:00 PM (History, Political Science, Global and International Studies, and Anthropology, Women’s and Gender Studies or English)
7. Conclude and Depart 2:00 PM
