Athletes who compete at Sanctioned Tournaments

Youth who are 9-11

These sessions will offer introduction instruction and exposure to higher-level training methodologies, focusing on key aspects of sparring development, such as:

• Effective techniques for scoring with head shots: Learning proper form, timing, and strategies for landing successful head kicks.
• Utilizing the KP&P system: Understanding how to effectively score points using the electronic scoring system.
• Developing Strength and Conditioning: Introduction to age-appropriate exercises. Building fundamental movement skills. Learning the importance of physical fitness for Taekwondo.

Cadets (12-14)

Cadets (12-14) who participated in the U-12 program and have been selected by the Team MB Head Coach. Athletes must maintain their membership with their home club, in addition, they will train with the Team MB Head Coach 3 times a week (MWF). This training will focus on developing competition skills and will include a commitment to a set number of tournaments outside of the Province each year.

Cadets (12-14) and Juniors (15-17)

Cadets (12-14) and Juniors (15-17) who have earned a spot on Team MB. Athletes must maintain their membership with their home club, in addition, they will train with the Team MB Head Coach 5 times a week (MTWTF) with weekly acceleration fitness training, nutrition and mental health workshops, and other training activities. This training will focus on developing competition skills and will include a commitment to a set number of National and International tournaments each year, including Nationals.

Seniors (17+)

Seniors (17+) who have earned a spot on Team MB. Athletes must maintain their membership with their home club, in addition they will train with the Team MB Head Coach 5 times a week (MTWTF) with weekly acceleration fitness training, nutrition and mental health workshops, and other training activities. This training will focus on developing competition skills and will include a commitment to a set number of National and International tournaments each year including Nationals.
