The Code of conduct:
for the well-being of all!
Here are some fundamental rules of conduct to ensure a harmonious and sustainable group life. We ask that you read this article with your child before their arrival at camp.
Why rules?
Because we live in a group and must take each other into account, to define collective behaviors to be respected and to make group life pleasant for everyone.
The First Rule: Respect
- for oneself
- for other children
- for the leaders
- for the instructions
- for the environment
The Second Rule: No Violence Will Be Tolerated
- physical violence (pushing, hitting, biting, pinching, etc.)
- verbal violence (insulting, intimidating, shouting, etc.)
- intimate violence (touching a friend's buttocks or private parts, exposing one's private parts, kissing, etc.).
The Third Rule: Safety
- always stay with your group; never leave without informing a leader
- always follow your leader; do not overtake them when moving on the sidewalk; do not enter the pool before them
- always wait for your leader's signal before crossing the street
- never throw objects, rocks, sticks or anything else at a person, group, vehicle or window
- always keep your bracelet (blue = swimmer, red = non-swimmer) at the pool as well as your life jacket (red bracelet)
- always inform a leader in case of problems
It is your duty to explain these rules clearly to your child.
To ensure compliance with the current code of conduct, we implement a behavioral reporting system explained in the parent guide available online on our website. This behavioral reporting system aims to inform parents about problematic situations involving their child so that they can intervene to correct them.
It should also be noted that certain behaviors deemed unacceptable (e.g., violent gestures) may result in immediate sanctions such as temporary or permanent expulsion since we have a responsibility to ensure the safety of all children. No refunds will be given for subscription fees or for the current week. However, please know that expelling a child is the last resort we wish to pursue.
Please also keep in mind that leaders are expected to use their judgment at all times and care about everyone's well-being. They are young adults trained to respond appropriately to various situations encountered at camp. If you experience frustration regarding any situation, please address it with management. Aggressive behavior from a parent towards any team member may result in their child's expulsion.
