The Scott Whiteside Award is presented to an individual for long-term exceptional non-technical leadership or volunteerism for Gymnastics For All in the Province of Alberta.
Guidelines for submission of nominations for the Scott Whiteside Award:
- All applications and supporting materials must be submitted by Tuesday August 4, 2026 at 9am.
- All information must follow the format of this nomination form.
- Certified coach and/or volunteer in good standing with AGF and specific to Gymnastics For All.
- Inspires enthusiasm and creativity within the sport of gymnastics.
- It is essential that the nominee have both Gymnastics For All and volunteer experience to be considered for this award.
- Please note that should your submission be successful, you will be required to submit a minimum of five (5) good-quality photos of the nominee and/or video to add to the presentation at the AGF Awards Gala.
This nomination form is in three parts:
- Part 1 provides a brief overview of the nominee’s contribution to Alberta Gymnastics and should outline the levels of involvement using one or two sentences. – 10 points
- Part 2 describes the specific nature of the nominee’s involvement, as well as the overall impact the nominee has had on the Alberta gymnastics community. If you can outline the areas and estimate the number of people who have benefited from the nominee’s contribution, please do so in the space provided. – 10 points
- Part 3 provides other supporting details of the nominee’s contribution. This could include, but is not limited to, a list of publications/manuals written, other awards received, athlete results, etc. – 10 points
