Nomination Criteria

1. The Community Champion of the Month Award is open to an Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit, or Métis) person who goes above and beyond for sports and recreation in their community.
2. To be eligible, the nominee must:
   1. Be a permanent resident of Manitoba.
   2. Be Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit, or Métis)
   3. Be involved in a non-participant role in their respect sport or recreation program.
3. Nominations can be made by other coaches, teachers, volunteers, community members, or parents of athletes they coach.
4. Nominees can be in a volunteer position or a paid position.
5. Nominator is only allowed to nominate one person per month.
6. If selected, the Community Champion may only win this award once per calendar year.
7. The nomination deadline is the 28th of every month (January winner will be announced in February, February's winner in March, etc.)
8. MASRC staff will review all nominations and determine the recipient. The decisions of the MASRC are final.
