1. Declaration of Compliance

All clubs participating in the 2026 BC Gymnaestrada event must comply with the protocols set for this event as these rules and regulations are designed for the safety and protection of all participants.

GymBC requires its participating clubs to complete the Declaration of Compliance Form confirming that all club participants (athletes, coaches, and chaperones) are registered members with their PSO, and have signed GymBC’s Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement. You are also ensuring that your club has attained a media release form for all participating athletes, coaches and/or members at your club that may appear on camera during the event, and giving Gymnastics BC and Delta Gymnastics Society permission to post media to social media channels and websites during and after the event. If you need a media release form template, please contact safety@gymbc.org.

Participating clubs that do not adhere to, or are unable to agree to the terms outlined above are not permitted to participate in the 2026 BC Gymnaestrada event.

Please note: During any health emergency, it is imperative that the participant's coach be equipped to furnish essential health details to the on-site Medical Professionals or the BC Gymnaestrada Organizing Committee.

Please note that not-signing the media release does not mean that Gymnastics BC cannot use group photos that contain your participant(s) that did not sign the release. If this is the case, we cannot use photos that focus on your participant(s) that did not sign the release, but we are permitted to use group photos that include individuals that did not sign a media release (provided they are not the focal point of the photo).

Please be sure that you communicate the above information to your participants that do not sign the release.

Your club will be responsible for communicating to the event photographer (if there is one) that photos focusing on your unsigned-media-release participant(s) should be avoided where possible. If you are able to make your club's unsigned-media-release participant(s) easily identifiable (i.e. by having them wear a certain colour of scrunchy in their hair or a headband, etc.) that will assist in ensuring that photos are not captured of those participants. Before posting/publishing any photos of the event, we will ask your club to review the photos so you can identify if any of them contain your unsigned-media-release participant(s).

5. Performance Blurb For Announcer Script

Please include a short description (2–3 sentences) to introduce your routine. This information will be used by the event announcer during your performance.

Example: "Please welcome Jumping Gymnastics performing their routine, “Waves of Motion.” Inspired by the movement of water and the flow of energy that connects us all, this performance combines strength, grace, and teamwork to tell a story of unity across distance.
