Registration for this class is by instructor recommendation only. If you are unsure about your child’s placement, please contact info@suncoastgym.ca. For safety reasons, participants who do not meet the level requirements will be withdrawn.

Overview:
This invite-only class is designed exclusively for 5- and 6-year-olds who demonstrate exceptional listening skills, strong focus, and a genuine passion for gymnastics. Our Mighty Mites are the energetic adventurers of the gym world—you'll typically find them hanging upside down from bars, swinging across the playground like mini acrobats, or jumping into new challenges with boundless enthusiasm.

Program Focus:
While these young athletes may show potential for future team programs (Interclub or Competitive Gymnastics), this class is not a direct pathway. It focuses on building strength and flexibility through fun, targeted activities to support long-term skill development.

What to Expect:

Playful circuits and stations to enhance coordination, balance, and strength.
Emphasis on gentle stretching to boost flexibility, aid in skill development and prevent injuries.
Small classes for personalized coaching and confidence-building.

General Policies & Media Release

Fees and Payment Policies:

All classes, drop-ins, camps, parties and event fees are subject to GST.
Gymnastics BC (GymBC) membership ($45) and SCG membership ($22) are due at time of registration. There are no taxes on GymBC membership fees.
Classes may be paid in full at the time of registration, or you may choose to adopt instalments.
Accounts with two or more late payments from previous sessions must pay in full upfront for future sessions. Families facing financial challenges may contact us to discuss alternate payment dates.

Cancellation, Transfers, Withdrawals & Refund Policy

Both GymBC and SCG membership fees are non-refundable.
A refund will be provided if the program is deemed unsuitable for the student by the facility (i.e. for ability, safety, or maturity concerns) and pro-rated as applicable.
Refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment within 30 days of receiving the withdrawal request.

Class Combination or Cancellation by SCG:
Classes may be cancelled or combined due to low registration. In the event of this, SCG will notify students and/or parents.
In the case of cancellation by SCG due to low enrolment, a refund will be provided and prorated as applicable.
Class Withdrawals: Participants wishing to withdraw from a class must submit a formal request via the Withdrawal Form.
To receive a refund, notice must be received a minimum of two weeks in advance. This allows us adequate time to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.
No refunds are provided during the last 4 weeks of any session.
There is a $20 admin fee per withdrawal request.
Open Gyms/Drop-ins: Refunds are not issued, but transfers to another date will be considered if space permits. The transfer request must be received a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the open gym start time. There are no refunds or credits applied for unattended open gym sessions.
Birthday Parties: Fees are paid upon booking. To receive a refund, you must cancel a minimum of three weeks in advance. A $20 administration fee will be withheld.
Camps, Clinics & Mini Sessions: Fees are paid upon registration. To receive a refund, notice of cancellation must be received (1) week in advance. A $20 administration fee will be withheld.
Kids Night Out: Fees are paid upon registration. To receive a refund, notice of cancellation must be received 24 hours in advance. A $5 administration fee will be withheld.

Health & Safety:

At SCG, we are committed to creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all participants, families, and staff. To protect our community, we ask that participants refrain from attending classes, camps, or events if they show any symptoms of (but not limited to):contagious illnesses, flu, fever, pink eye, skin conditions, gastrointestinal symptoms, open wounds that cannot be fully covered, fungus and/or other contagious conditions.
Head Lice or Nits: Due to the close-contact nature of gymnastics activities and our shared use of equipment and spaces, we maintain a strict policy regarding head lice to prevent its spread within our community.
If lice or nits are discovered during a session, we will discreetly notify the participant’s guardian and ask that the participant be picked up promptly.
We kindly request that families inform us immediately if lice is detected at home or school so we can take appropriate measures to protect our community.
All participants are expected to be cleared and symptom free for at least 24-48 hours before returning to class.
There are no refunds if a participant misses a class due to illness, or health & safety reasons. If you will miss more than one class and wish to withdraw from the session, please complete a Withdrawal Form.

Inclement Weather:

If local schools are closed due to weather, it is likely that our daytime programs will be cancelled. We will do our best to email all participants in a timely manner.
Since road conditions can impact our families and coaches arriving safely to the Gym, SCG will make the decision to cancel afternoon/evening classes by 1:00 p.m., that day.
Notice of cancellation will be emailed shortly after 1:00 pm and posted on our social media channels.
Classes cancelled due to inclement weather do not receive makeup classes or refunds. If inclement weather continues for a prolonged period (ie. more than a week), we will do our best to provide an open gym or alternative option for the second missed class.

Bullying & Harassment Policy:

SCG is committed to providing an environment free of bullying, harassment, and all intimidating behaviour directed towards its’ students, athletes, staff and visitors. Bullying and harassment is not tolerated.
We encourage the prompt reporting of all incidents to our Manager. If this is not suitable, please report your concern or complaint to Gymnastics BC.

Media Release

By participating in SCG programs, individuals and families agree to the following:
Permission to share, without payment of any fee or charge, media content (video, photos and information about my child) publicly through club bulletin boards, websites, social media and video sharing platforms for the purposes of SCG promotions and marketing.
Consent for the media to release me and/or my child’s name and/or photo in any media coverage at the gym.
Consent for SCG to disclose my name, contact information and child's name to any appointed volunteers during special events that my child may be involved in.
Consent for SCG, Gymnastics BC and other Gymnastics BC member clubs permissions to share, without payment of any fee or charge, any written information (names and club information), media content (video and photos, and information about my son/daughter) publicly through websites, social media and video sharing platforms for the purposes of promotion and marketing of gymnastics and Gymnastics BC.
