Stefan Savoie Memorial Scholarship Application Form
Stefan Savoie inspired passion in the game of Volleyball in both indoor and beach and were staples in his life. He was the energy on the court, he was the player who changed momentum, he was the athlete that every coach knew was needed to inspire passion on the court. Stefan excelled in both disciplines of the sport he loved. This was evident through his experiences on his high school team, his club teams, his provincial teams and his university team. The pinnacle of his career was being with Team Canada and representing Manitoba at the Canada Games in Beach Volleyball. His competitive nature, compassion for his teammates and thirst to excel was never compromised. This scholarship is to recognize athletes who represent that passion for the sport of volleyball, just as Stefan did in his life.
This scholarship will be awarded annually at the Graduating All Star Banquet to a Grade 12 volleyball athlete.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Must be a Manitoba Resident
- Must be a Grade 12 student
- Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1000 to 1 student annually for Post Secondary Education.
Nomination Process:
- Athletes must be nominated by an individual who is able to provide the following:
- 150 word mini biography of the athlete.
- Video submission demonstrating the athlete’s court presence, spirit of sport, team and passion during practices and/or matches.
- Letter of support from a coach, teammate, teacher or other.
The Nomination Deadline is Friday, November 15, 2024.
