INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING OUT FORM

Level Parent Tot | Building Water Confidence & Essential Life-Saving Skills

Swimmers will build confidence in the water with guidance from both a parent and an instructor. Parent must accompany their child in the water throughout this class.

Level 1

Level 1 | Introduction to water skills

Your child will learn the basics of swimming:

- Going underwater & bobbing

- Supported front & back float

- Supported rolling front to back and back to front

- Supported gliding, flutter kick, front crawl

Level 2

Level 2 | Improving Skills & Swimming Strokes

Swimmer should already be able to float on front and back and put head under water before entering this level.

Your child will learn:

- Independent front & back float

- Independent rolling front to back & back to front

- Independent front & back glides

- Front/Back crawl arms and kicks

Level 3

Level 3 | Stroke Development

Swimmers should already be comfortable swimming front and back stroke.

Swimmers will work on:

- Freestyle with side breathing

- Backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly kicks

- Retrieving object in deeper water

- Treading water

Level 4

Level 4 | Stroke Improvement

Swimmers should be able to swim 25 yards both front and back.

Swimmers will work on:

-Side breathing, freestyle, backstroke, elementary backstroke, scissors kick, and sidestroke

- Intro to wall turns and diving in kneeling position

Level 5

Level 5 | Stroke Refinement

Swimmer should already be able to swim freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke for 25 yards.

Swimmer will work on:

- Alternate breathing

- Refinement of: Freestyle, backstroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke, dolphin kick and butterfly.
