Junior Squash Lessons

Lessons are offered at Sporthèque, located at 72 Jean-Proulx Street in Gatineau (Hull sector).

You do not need to be a member of Sporthèque to participate in Squash Outaouais activities. However, you must be affiliated with Squash Outaouais at an annual cost of $25 (the invoice will be sent to you in the weeks following registration).

Please note that the indicated ages are approximate. We base group placement on each child’s skills and experience to determine the appropriate group. If you are unsure which group to register your child in, please contact us by email at info@squashoutaouais.ca.

Lesson dates:

10-week session:
▪️ Tuesday: September 22 to December 1 (No class on October 20)
▪️ Thursday: September 24 to December 3 (No class on October 15)

9-week session:
▪️ Sunday: September 20 to December 6 (No classes on October 11–18 and November 15)

Squash 1 (Pre-Novice) - Tuesday 5:15 p.m.

The Novice course is designed for children aged 7 to 11. They will learn the fundamentals of squash, including technique, basic shots, and movement through educational and dynamic exercises.

We can provide the equipment upon request (racket and goggles).

Prerequisite: Be able to maintain a rally with the coach and hit the ball on the serve.

The Novice course is designed for children aged 7 to 11. They will learn the fundamentals of squash, including technique, basic shots, and movement through educational and dynamic drills.

Le cours Progression s’adresse aux jeunes de 9 à 16 ans qui ont déjà appris les bases du squash ou qui ont une bonne expérience dans un sport similaire (tennis, badminton, etc.). Ils apprendront des coups plus avancées et la stratégie de jeu. Étant donné que le groupe est multi-âge, les jeunes sont divisés en sous-groupe selon leur niveau.

Nous pouvons fournir l'équipement sur demande (raquettes et lunettes).

Pré-requis: Réussir ses services et maintenir un échange avec un autre élève.

They will learn more advanced shots and game strategy. Since the group includes multiple age levels, participants are divided into subgroups according to their skill level.

Prerequisite: Be able to serve successfully and maintain a rally with another student.

Cancellation and Modification Policy

Reservations for one or more courses

The reservation of a course or event is confirmed once full payment has been made. A confirmation email will be sent once the reservation is validated.

If you need to cancel OR make changes to an order you just placed, please contact us as soon as possible by email at info@squashoutaouais.ca by clearly indicating your order number and the cancellations and/or modifications you wish to make. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Customer Cancellation
Before the start date of the course(s):
Cancellation without fees and a full refund or applicable credit.

After the start of the courses:
Refund subject to payment for services already rendered plus a fee of 10% of the value of remaining courses.

Modification by the Customer

More than 72 hours before the start of the courses:
Modification without fees, subject to availability.

Less than 72 hours before the start of the course:
A fee of 10% may apply, subject to availability and at the discretion of Sporthèque.

Absence and Makeups
Courses missed by participants or their parents cannot be made up, refunded, or credited.
