SASKATCHEWAN GAMES – COACH APPLICATION

Each District will send 2 coaches, 1 Head Coach and 1 Assistant Coach. Both coaches will act as managers to the Games. If a male coach is selected to be a District coach the other coach must be a female. The Head Coach of the District must be Competition 1 Certified or NCCP Level 2 Certified in any discipline. The Assistant Coach must be Competition 1 Trained or NCCP Level 2 Technical in any discipline.

All coaches and managers interested in applying to attend the Saskatchewan Winter Games must apply by returning the Coach application to the Gymnastics Saskatchewan office by October 30, 2025.

Coaches will be selected by a committee made up of the:

Certification level
Prior experience

A criminal record check including the vulnerable sector check must be submitted with the application, valid within three years of the games (Feb 15-18, 2026).

Coaches must travel and stay in the accommodations provided by the Games. Competition date is Feb 15-18 in Meadow Lake, SK. All coaches must stay in the athlete's village to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their teams. Coaches may be assigned in rooms with other coaches from other sports or other Districts. All accommodation, meal, and travel expenses of the coaches attending the Games will be covered by the Sask Games Council.
