Rhythmic Elite Canada Volunteer Sign Up

• Arrive at the Regina Fieldhouse and assist in offloading the rhythmic carpets from the truck
• Assist with all other set up duties as delegated by the organizing committee (including but not limited to decorations, seating, tables, chairs, signage, etc)
• Will require some heavy lifting, walking, and movement. 

• Collect entrance fees from spectators
• Answer minor questions about facility and give directions
• Must be able to make change / handle cash / use QR code scanner
• Must be friendly, warm, welcoming

• Press play on music file for each gymnast 
• Should be familiar with both PC and Mac operating systems, or a quick learner
• May also be responsible for adjusting music volume if delegated by head judge/organizing committee
• Play background music during off times 

• Read off event announcements from provided script
• Announce each athlete when they walk onto the floor
• Make ad-hoc announcements as required by the organizing committee
• Must be friendly, warm, welcoming and have experience with public speaking

• Remain in the training area and be the main contact between the organizing committee and the coaches and athletes.

• Some technical expertise in rhythmic gymnastics an asset but not required. 
• This is a major volunteer spot - meals will be provided if signing up for multiple shifts. 

• Sit on one corner of the carpet and watch for gymnasts/apparatus to go over the red boundary line. Mark the penalty and submit to the head judge. More direction will be given by head judge upon arrival. 
• This is a minor official role - experience with rhythmic gymnastics is an asset. 

• Press play and stop for each competition routine on the video camera. 
• Ensure video recording is working properly and gymnast is seen in the frame of the video. 

• Press play and stop on a stop watch/tablet when the gymnast begins and stops moving. 
• More direction will be given by the head judge upon arrival.

• Vaccuum the competition and training carpets at the end of the competition day.
