The MCA is committed to providing athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers with a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment. We strive to prevent abuse, harassment, and discrimination, and encourage individuals to report any behavior that breaches the Provincial Association’s Code of Conduct.
To support this, Provincial Associations have adopted the Coaching Association of Canada’s Responsible Coaching Movement, focusing on:
- The Rule of Two
- Background Screening (Criminal Record Checks and Child Abuse Registry)
- Respect and Ethics Training
Coaches (Tier 2 & 3) in the MCA and Kids of Mud programs must complete a criminal record check every 5 years. To reduce financial barriers, the MCA offers discounted rates.
