GymBC provides up to $1000 annually to a maximum of 5 athletes still training and competing at the provincial level after their high school graduation. Funding will be equally split between the successful applicants. The selected athletes will also be recognized and profiled publicly by GymBC.
To be deemed eligible, athletes must:
• Be properly registered with GymBC as a competitive athlete
• Have graduated from high school
• Qualify for a BC Championships event and register for said event
• Submit a completed application form prior to May 1
The WAG Program Manager will ensure each application is reviewed for the eligibility criteria. Eligible applicants will be presented blindly to the WTC for selection. If there are more than 5 eligible applicants, priority will be given to higher level athletes. In the case of a tie for the 5th spot (multiple applicants in the same category), it will be broken by looking at the highest AA score achieved prior to BC Championships, in the season of the application.
