Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration of my registration and participation in the activities, programs, and events offered or sponsored by La Sporthèque, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Acting on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, legal representatives, successors, and any other person who may act on my behalf, I waive, release, and discharge La Sporthèque, its officers, employees, representatives, and any person acting for or on its behalf, from any liability for injury, illness, death, loss, or property damage of any kind, arising directly or indirectly from my participation in these activities.
This waiver applies to any claim, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, including those resulting from negligence or breach of a legal duty, including but not limited to those under the Occupiers’ Liability Act.
I also acknowledge that La Sporthèque cannot be held responsible in the event of loss, theft, unauthorized use, or damage to personal belongings that I may bring onto its premises or to its activities.
I understand that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law. If any provision of this document is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such a decision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
AQUAFITNESS Regulations
Access and Eligibility
Access to Aquafit classes is reserved for:
- Holders of a membership that includes Aquafit classes (e.g., TOTAL, PRESTIGE, etc.);
- Holders of a valid 10-class Aquafit pass;
- Or individuals paying a guest fee, according to current policies.
Participants must be 13 years of age or older, unless otherwise specified in the class description.
Booking and Cancellation
Aquafit classes require a reservation up to 24 hours in advance, through the online booking platform or at the front desk.
All cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours before the start of the class. Unexcused absences may result in loss of the session or access restrictions.
Participation Rules
- Entering the water is permitted only when the pool is available. Entering the water while another class or activity is in progress is prohibited.
- Reserving a spot in the pool before the class begins is not permitted.
- Showering is mandatory before each session to ensure water cleanliness.
- Proper swimwear is required. Long hair must be tied back.
- Food, glass containers, and beverages other than water are prohibited on the pool deck.
- Respectful behavior toward other participants and staff is required at all times. Any disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the class or suspension of access.
Medical Considerations
- Participants must inform the instructor or lifeguard of any relevant medical condition that may affect their participation.
- Each participant is responsible for respecting their own physical limits during the activity.
- Respectful behavior toward fellow participants and instructors is required at all times. Any inappropriate conduct may lead to removal from the class or temporary suspension.
