Coaching NL Funding Program – Eligibility & Application Guidelines
General Information
Application Review Schedule: Applications are assessed on a quarterly basis (January, April, July, and October).
Funding Amount: Eligible applicants may receive up to 50% of the total course cost.
Funding Frequency: Coaches may receive funding once per calendar year and not within 12 months of a previously approved application.
Additional Funding: Applicants are encouraged to seek supplementary funding or financial assistance from other sources.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
Be a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Be a member in good standing with a Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) recognized by Sport NL.
Be pursuing NCCP Sport-Specific training or NCCP-recognized Professional Development opportunities.
Not be applying as a private coach, as this fund is not intended to support private coaching practices.
Application Requirements
All applications must include:
Official endorsement from the relevant PSO.
Applications submitted without PSO endorsement will not be reviewed.
A clear description of the course or training opportunity, including relevant dates and costs.
Post-Course Requirements
Successful applicants are required to submit the following upon course completion:
A brief completion report,
A financial breakdown of costs, and
Receipts for all expenses associated with the course if applying for funding after course completion.
