Sport Development Grant

Sport Manitoba offers sport development grants that facilitate the development of athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers at the community level with an emphasis on training and skill development.

Sport Manitoba’s Sport Development Grant Program is mainly focused around the impact that these grants will have at the Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, Train to Train and Train to Compete stages within the Sport For Life – Long-Term Development framework.

Sport Manitoba is able to help our community sport partners with financial assistance for a variety of sport development opportunities through our Sport Development Grants Programs. Applicable information including region, sport, level of certification and total grant amount may be provided publicly for reporting purposes.

Before starting your application, please make sure you have the following information on hand:

• Number of anticipated participants
• Proposed budget - revenue and expenses

Please note that to be eligible for this grant you must be a recognized member of your sport's Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) or plan to become a member. Your organization must also have a bank account. Sport Manitoba is required to make grant payments to an organization.
