Don't forget to review the Application Checklist to ensure all required documents are included, as missing information may affect eligibility. Please submit your completed application digitally by May 31. The submission will be received by info@buildersoftomorrowbc.com. These Terms and Conditions apply to applicants of the Builders of Tomorrow BC Foundation Scholarship and Bursary Program and govern the use of awarded funds, confidentiality obligations, and compliance with Foundation policies.
1. Eligibility
• Applicants must be between 17 and 30 years old, enrolled or planning to enroll in a construction-related program at a recognized institution in British Columbia, and must submit a complete application by the published deadline.
2. Confidentiality
• All personal information provided by applicants, including transcripts and supporting documentation, will be handled in compliance with the Foundation's Privacy Policy and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
• The Foundation reasonably ensures all documentation is stored securely, with access restricted to authorized personnel or board members.
• Personal information will be retained for an undisclosed period and used only for purposes related to the Foundation’s scholarship and bursary program.
3. Use of Funds
• Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and are intended for educational expenses, including tuition, books, supplies and other related materials.
• Recipients are required to confirm the use of funds for their intended purposes upon request by the Foundation.
• Bursaries are awarded based on financial need and can cover educational and living expenses, such as rent, utilities, or other related costs.
4. Fund Disbursement
• Scholarship and Bursary funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient via cheque, contingent upon receipt of proof of enrollment.
5. Conditions for Retention of Awards
• Recipients must stay enrolled in their awarded program. The Foundation may request proof of enrollment and progress. Awards may be reclaimed if the recipient withdraws from the program or misuses the award.
6. Remedies for Misuse
• Misuse of funds will result in disqualification and disqualification from future applications and may require repayment. Legal action may be pursued if misuse of funds is confirmed.
7. Consent
• By submitting an application, the applicant consents to the use of their name and photo in the Foundation’s marketing materials and social media and agrees to participate in follow-up communications to share how the award supported their education.
8. Dispute Resolution
• Any disputes regarding the application or use of funds will be resolved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, who hold the final authority on eligibility and fund usage.
9. Agreement
• By submitting an application, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
