Good Food Box Program

The Good Food Box Program is dedicated to helping food-insecure households gain access to affordable, nutritious fruits and vegetables. For just $40, you will receive a box filled with a diverse selection of fresh produce, weighing approximately 20 pounds, specially sourced for this program. Boxes are available for purchase in advance and can be picked up at the Outreach Building (416 2nd St W) every other Wednesday between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

This program aims to assist households facing challenges in affording healthy foods after covering essential household expenses. Additionally, the Food Bank remains a valuable resource for families needing further food access support.

Each box contains approximately 20 pounds of a variety of fresh produce, selected for quality, value, and everyday use.

If you feel that this is too much food for you, you can share it with a friend, or donate some items to the food bank.

The Good Food Box aims to assist households that are struggling to afford healthy foods after meeting essential household expenses.
The contents of the Good Food Box will be selected by Community Connections, and sourced specifically for this program. Items will be chosen based on general acceptability and cost-effectiveness, with a preference for locally sourced products.
Participants will purchase the entire box as a whole and cannot select individual items. Any unwanted items may be donated to our food bank.
Food boxes must be collected on the specified day between 4:30 and 6pm, at the Outreach Building (416 Second Street West) .
Unclaimed boxes will be donated to the food bank unless alternate pick-up arrangements have been made by contacting kitchen@community-connections.ca at least one day prior to pick-up.
No refunds will be issued for this program.
