Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration of my registration and participation in the activities, programs, and events offered or sponsored by La Sporthèque, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Acting on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, legal representatives, successors, and any other person who may act on my behalf, I waive, release, and discharge La Sporthèque, its officers, employees, representatives, and any person acting for or on its behalf, from any liability for injury, illness, death, loss, or property damage of any kind, arising directly or indirectly from my participation in these activities.
This waiver applies to any claim, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, including those resulting from negligence or breach of a legal duty, including but not limited to those under the Occupiers’ Liability Act.
I also acknowledge that La Sporthèque cannot be held responsible in the event of loss, theft, unauthorized use, or damage to personal belongings that I may bring onto its premises or to its activities.
I understand that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law. If any provision of this document is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such a decision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
Studio Regulations
AQUAFITNESS Regulations
Access and Eligibility
Access to Aquafit classes is reserved for:
- Holders of a membership that includes Aquafit classes (e.g., TOTAL, PRESTIGE, etc.);
- Holders of a valid 10-class Aquafit pass;
- Or individuals paying a guest fee, according to current policies.
Participants must be 13 years of age or older, unless otherwise specified in the class description.
Booking and Cancellation
Aquafit classes require a reservation up to 24 hours in advance, through the online booking platform or at the front desk.
All cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours before the start of the class. Unexcused absences may result in loss of the session or access restrictions.
Participation Rules
- Entering the water is permitted only when the pool is available. Entering the water while another class or activity is in progress is prohibited.
- Reserving a spot in the pool before the class begins is not permitted.
- Showering is mandatory before each session to ensure water cleanliness.
- Proper swimwear is required. Long hair must be tied back.
- Food, glass containers, and beverages other than water are prohibited on the pool deck.
- Respectful behavior toward other participants and staff is required at all times. Any disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the class or suspension of access.
Medical Considerations
- Participants must inform the instructor or lifeguard of any relevant medical condition that may affect their participation.
- Each participant is responsible for respecting their own physical limits during the activity.
- Respectful behavior toward fellow participants and instructors is required at all times. Any inappropriate conduct may lead to removal from the class or temporary suspension.
YAMA Studio Regulations
Access and Eligibility
Access to the YAMA Studios is by reservation only, up to 24 hours in advance, through the online platform or at the reception desk.
Access is limited to individuals 13 years of age and older.
To participate in classes, you must:
- Hold an active TOTAL membership;
- Or pay a guest fee;
- Or hold a valid 10-class pass.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours before the start of the class. Late cancellations will result in loss of the session or access limitations depending on the membership type.
Studio Rules
- Silence is required in the YAMA Studios and in the Yama corridor, to maintain an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and concentration.
- Participants must arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the class begins. Late arrivals disrupt the session and may result in denied access.
- The YAMA sector is a fragrance-free zone. Please refrain from using scented products prior to your visit.
- Respect and discretion are required when entering the room.
- Each participant must bring their own yoga mat.
- Bags, coats, and boots are not permitted inside the studios. Please leave personal items in the locker rooms and place shoes on the designated shelf in front of the heated studio.
- All equipment used (e.g., blocks, straps) must be disinfected after the session using the products provided.
- Respectful behavior toward other participants and instructors is required at all times. Any inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the class or temporary suspension of access.
FIT Studio Regulations
Access and Eligibility
Access to the FIT Studio is restricted to individuals 16 years of age and older.
To access classes or “Open Gym” time slots, you must:
- Hold a membership that includes access to the FIT Studio (e.g., TOTAL, PRESTIGE, etc.);
- Or pay a guest fee;
- Or hold a valid 10-class pass.
Booking and Cancellation
Access to the FIT Studio is by reservation only, up to 24 hours in advance.
All cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours before the start of the class. Late cancellations will result in loss of the session or access restrictions.
Studio Rules
- Clean indoor running shoes are mandatory. Outdoor shoes, boots, and coats must be left:
- In the locker rooms,
- In the vestibule,
- Or on the shelves in the adjacent corridor.
- Crossing the squash corridor mats with outdoor shoes is strictly prohibited.
- Food is not allowed inside the FIT Studio.
- Dropping bars on the floor — whether empty or loaded with 10 lb plates — is strictly prohibited.
- After each use, members must:
- Clean their equipment (dumbbells, bars, kettlebells);
- Remove any chalk residue;
- Return weights and accessories to their proper location.
- It is strongly recommended to take a few introductory classes before booking a Power FIT class.
- Access to Open Gym time slots is reserved for eligible members and must be booked through the online system.
Children’s Presence (Adjacent Corridor)
- Children 8 years old and under must be supervised at all times.
- It is prohibited to:
- Run or jump in the corridor,
- Move or use the red mats or any FIT Studio equipment.
- Only quiet activities are permitted in this area.
- Access to the FIT Studio is strictly prohibited for children, except during supervised junior classes.
- Food is permitted in the corridor only, and all waste must be picked up.
- Children must remain in front of the studio windows.
Respectful behavior toward other participants and instructors is required at all times. Any inappropriate conduct may lead to removal from the class or temporary suspension of access.
SPIN Studio Regulations
Access and Eligibility
Access to the SPIN Studio is restricted to individuals 13 years of age and older.
To participate in classes, you must:
- Hold an active PRESTIGE or TOTAL membership;
- Or pay a guest fee;
- Or hold a valid 10-class pass.
Booking and Cancellation
Access to the studio is by reservation only, up to 24 hours in advance, through the online platform or customer service.
All cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours before the class begins. Otherwise, the session will be counted as used or may result in access restrictions.
Studio Rules
- Only clean indoor shoes are permitted inside the studio.
- Bags, coats, and boots are not allowed inside the studio. Please use the locker rooms for personal belongings.
- Bikes and any equipment used must be disinfected after each session using the products provided.
- Respectful behavior toward other participants and instructors is required at all times. Any inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the class or temporary suspension of access.
