Gymnastics BC: Associate Member Registration

Annual registration fee: $0

GymBC Associate membership is designated for organizations that are already covered under a corporate insurance plan (with minimum $5 M coverage), including but not limited to: public recreation departments, community centres, YM/YWCAs and schools. The GymBC Member Club delivering the Associate Member programming is covered by GymBC's insurance policy; the Associate Member (and their participants) are NOT covered by GymBC's insurance policy.

Associate membership provides access to Gymnastics for All services for programmers, participants, teachers and coaches involved in the community recreational and school aspects of gymnastics.

Associate members are not eligible to participate in GymBC recreational or competitive events. Programs with participants and/or coaches involved in GymBC events, training in the same facility as associate members, may be registered under the GymBC club membership guidelines.

Proof of liability insurance coverage with minimum of $5 M coverage *

Proof of liability insurance is required with this registration form. Please attach a copy of your certificate of insurance (COI) with Gymnastics BC named as an Additional Insured. Confirmation that Participant Liability is Included is also required. Click here for a sample COI to see what that might look like

If the registrant is a public school in British Columbia, your school is covered under the "Schools Protection Program" and you can obtain the Memorandum of Coverage document from your school principal or office staff.

Please be advised that submitting a copy of your insurance policy document(s) is NOT sufficient and will not be accepted as proof of insurance. Only a COI which names as additional insureds, Gymnastics BC and the GymBC member club you wish to attend , will be accepted as proof of liability insurance .

As an Associate Member group of Gymnastics BC, you acknowledge and assume responsibility for: *

Providing information for each group/class including organization name, contact name and contact information, event date(s), type of program, name and age/grade of participants, to the Gymnastics BC member club that will facilitate your group's gymnastics programming.
Informing parents/participants of the inherent risk in sport and obtaining signed consent for each participant.
