This course is designed for individuals who have never completed an American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or whose certification has expired. Participants must be at least 15 years old by the final day of their selected course. Upon successful completion, you’ll be certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

When Does My Certification Expire?

The lifeguard certification is valid for two years. After that, you can easily renew it by completing a one-day recertification class to stay certified for another two years!
