Join certified instructor Stephanie Byard for Yoga in the Park at Westview Park on June 28 as part of Heritage Days! With sessions for both children and adults, this outdoor wellness event is a great way to get moving, relax, and enjoy nature.
12:00 PM – Kids' Session (Ages 6–12) | 45 minutes
Children will enjoy age-appropriate yoga poses, breathing exercises, mindfulness activities, games, and movement-based learning, all focused on fun, confidence, and body awareness.
1:00 PM – Adult Session (All Ages & Abilities) | 1 hour
Adults and teens are invited to participate in a guided yoga class suitable for all experience levels. Beginner, advanced, and chair yoga adaptations will be offered, with gentle movement, stretching, breathing exercises, and relaxation in a welcoming outdoor setting.
What to Bring: A yoga mat, blanket, or stable chair (for chair yoga), water bottle, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, and any other sun protection you may need, such as a hat or sunglasses.
Please Note:
Mats and chairs are not provided.
The activity takes place outdoors on grass, which may be uneven.
Parents/guardians must remain on-site during the children's session.
Participants should be able to move independently and get up and down from the ground.
Anyone with injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy-related concerns should consult a healthcare provider before participating.
