Player Development Grant
Supplementary Training
Local Associations can apply for a maximum of $1500 to help offset costs of supplementary training for athletes U19 and under. Funding will be provided once a final report is submitted showing actual expenses. If expenses are below the granted amount, the full grant will not be paid out.
Sport Psychology
Local Associations or teams can apply for a maximum of $500 to offset costs of providing Sport Psychology training for their athletes. Teams must pay for services up front and will be reimbursed upon receipt of proof of payment for services.
Criteria/Eligibility
- Applicants must be a full member in good standing with Ringette Manitoba.
- Teams applying for Sport Psychology grants and all players on the team must be fully registered with Ringette Manitoba and be members in good standing of their Local Association and Ringette Manitoba.
- Applications for Sport Psychology funding must indicate who they will be used to run the sessions. Anyone hired to run Sport Psychology events must be sourced through the Sport Medicine Council with assistance from Ringette Manitoba if required.
- Local Associations applying for supplemental training must meet sanctioning requirements for their event. Ringette Manitoba may have to limit the number of events due to this restriction. Exceptions to the requirements may be made on a case by case basis.
- Applicants must indicate how the grant will benefit their organization and others in their sport community.
- Funding will be provided once a post event report is submitted showing actual expenses. If expenses are below the grant amount, the full grant will not be paid out
- Local Associations may apply for more than one project within an intake period.
Intake periods – August 1st (for events taking place between August 1st and January 31st) and February 1st (for events taking place between February 1st and July 31st) annually for supplementary training. Sport Psychology will be ongoing.
All applications will be reviewed by a committee, and applicants will be informed if they are successful.
