To ensure a safe, harmonious, and enjoyable experience for all our members, each area of La Sporthèque and Espace Hygie is governed by specific usage policies. By subscribing to a membership, you agree to abide by these rules, which are established to guarantee the quality of the services offered and to promote mutual respect among users.

The following rules outline access conditions, expected behaviors, reservation guidelines, and specific instructions for each area (e.g., pool, training studios, racquet courts, gym, etc.). It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with these policies and follow them during your visits.

Any violation of the regulations may result in actions ranging from a warning to suspension of access, depending on the severity of the situation.

Locker Rooms and Sauna Usage

Hygiene and Health

Shaving is strictly prohibited in the showers and sinks.

Behavior and Respect

Video calls, photography, or any audio/video recording are strictly forbidden in all locker rooms, without exception.
Respect for the privacy of other users is required at all times.

Sauna usage

A towel must be used to sit or lie down on the benches.
The recommended maximum session duration is 15 minutes.
Food and drinks are not allowed, except for a closed water bottle.
The sauna is a place of calm and silence: conversations, calls, or any disruptive behavior are not permitted.
Essential oils, sprays, or any other product are strictly forbidden in the sauna.
Entering the sauna with wet clothes, shoes, or sandals is not allowed.
Lying directly on the benches without a towel is not permitted.
Leave immediately if you feel unwell, dizzy, or nauseous.

Shoes, Boots, and Personal Belongings

During the winter season, shoes and boots must be left at the entrance of Espace Hygie near the access terminals.
It is recommended to wear clean sandals in the showers and wet areas for hygiene purposes.

Responsibility for Personal Belongings

Espace Hygie (La Sporthèque) is not responsible for lost, stolen, or vandalized items in the locker rooms.
Lockers are for daily use only. If items are left in a locker for more than 24 hours, our staff may clear the locker and place your belongings in the lost and found.
Avoid bringing valuables to the center; it is best to leave them at home.

Terms and Conditions – GYM Usage

Access and Eligibility

Access to the gym is reserved for individuals aged 13 and over.
To access the training room, you must:
- Hold an active Espace Hygie or Espace Hygie & La Sporthèque membership;
- Or pay a guest fee.

Gym Rules

Respectful, safe, and courteous behavior is required at all times towards other users and staff.
Outdoor shoes are not allowed. Only clean and appropriate training shoes are permitted.
No bags, coats, or boots are allowed in the gym. These must be stored in the locker rooms.
If using a cellphone, please vacate the equipment so others can use it.
You must disinfect equipment after each use using the provided products.

Personal training

Clients may not receive personal training services from anyone outside of Espace Hygie.
Personal training services are exclusively offered by the center’s accredited trainers, under specific conditions and subscription options.

Terms and Conditions – SKILLX Studio

Access and Eligibility

Access to the SkillX Studio is reserved for individuals aged 16 and over.
To attend sessions, you must:
- Hold an Espace Hygie or Espace Hygie & La Sporthèque membership;
- Or have a valid 10-session pass;
- Or pay a guest fee, if applicable under current policies.

Reservation and Cancellation

Access to the studio is by reservation only, up to 24 hours in advance via the online platform or at the front desk.
Cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours before the session start time. Failure to do so may result in loss of the session or restricted access.

Studio Rules

Clean, appropriate athletic shoes are required.
Entry with outdoor shoes, coats, or bags is prohibited. These must be stored in the locker rooms.
Participants must:
- Clean and disinfect their equipment after each use (kettlebells, dumbbells, rowers, mats, etc.);
- Return all accessories to their place at the end of the session;
- Follow the workout structure as guided by the instructor.
- Equipment must not be dropped on the floor abruptly, unless instructed otherwise in a safe context.
- Cellphone use must be discreet and must not disrupt the session.

Supervision and Safety

SkillX sessions are supervised by a qualified instructor. Participants must follow their guidance to ensure group safety.
Each participant is responsible for respecting their physical limits. In case of health concerns, it is recommended to inform the instructor before the session.
Excessive lateness may result in denied access for safety and class flow reasons.

Terms and Conditions – Biocircuit Usage

Access and Eligibility

Access to the Biocircuit is reserved for individuals aged 16 and over.
To use the circuit, you must:
- Hold a membership that includes access to the Biocircuit;
- Or purchase à la carte access according to current policies;
- Or benefit from a supervised trial session during a promotion or discovery package.
A mandatory initial setup session with a trainer is required to configure your personal profile and settings.

Rules

Clean athletic shoes and appropriate workout attire must be worn at all times.
Entry into the Biocircuit area with boots, coats, or bags is prohibited. These must be left in the locker room.
Users must:
- Clean each machine after use with the provided disinfectant products;
- Manual adjustments are strictly prohibited. The circuit must not be used without activating your profile via the connected system.
- Cellphone use must be discreet and must not interfere with your training session.

Supervision and Safety

An initial orientation session is required to ensure a safe and personalized experience.
In case of technical issues or abnormal equipment behavior, notify staff immediately.
Each user is responsible for respecting their physical limits. It is recommended to inform a trainer of any relevant medical condition.

Terms and Conditions – Pilates & Yoga Studio

Access and Eligibility

Access to the studios is reserved for individuals aged 13 and over.
To participate in the classes, you must:
- Hold an Espace Hygie or Espace Hygie & La Sporthèque membership;
- Or have a valid 10-class pass;
- Or pay a guest fee, according to current policies.
  
  Some specialized classes (e.g., Aerial Yoga) may require registration for a full session or prior experience.

Reservation and Cancellation

All classes require a reservation, up to 24 hours in advance, via the online platform or at the reception desk.
Cancellations must be made at least two (2) hours before the class start time to avoid losing the session or access privileges.

Studio Rules

Calm and silence must be respected throughout the yoga/Pilates area, including the adjacent hallway.
Participants must:
- Arrive 5 minutes before the class starts;
- Wear comfortable and appropriate attire;
- Bring their own yoga mat (additional accessories are provided for some classes);
- Disinfect any used equipment (blocks, straps, blankets, etc.) after each class.
- Outdoor shoes, bags, and coats are not permitted in the studios. These must be stored in the locker rooms or on designated shelves.
- The area is scent-free – please avoid using scented products.
- Cellphones must be turned off or set to silent for the entire duration of the class.
- Respect for personal space, instructor guidance, and group rhythm is expected at all times.

Specific Guidelines – Aerial Yoga

For safety reasons:

Jewelry, watches, zippers, and sharp objects are not permitted during class;
A short- or long-sleeved shirt must be worn to avoid friction and for hygienic use of the aerial fabric;
Anyone suffering from vertigo, high blood pressure, glaucoma, herniated discs, or other serious medical conditions should consult a health professional before participating.

Reformer Studio Specific Policy

Regulations for Pilates Classes on Reformers

1 reservation per day : Each member can reserve only one class per day.
Cancellation at least 2 hours before the class : Any cancellation must be made at least 2 hours before the start of the class.
No-show penalty : In case of a no-show without prior cancellation within the allowed time frame, a fee of $25 will be applied.

Consent

By purchasing a membership granting access to the Reformer Studio, I confirm that I have read and understood the booking rules for Pilates classes on Reformers and agree to abide by them. I understand that failure to comply with these rules may result in the application of the mentioned fees.

By completing your membership, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Duration and Renewal
Your membership is valid for the duration selected above and may be renewed upon request or by purchasing a renewal via our website, in person, or by email.

2. Contract Cancellation and Specific Terms
2.1. Annual Membership
In accordance with Sections 197 to 205 of the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR, c. P-40.1), the consumer may cancel an annual membership within a period equal to one-tenth of the total contract duration — that is, thirty-six and a half (36.5) days in the case of a one-year contract. In such cases, the merchant is entitled to charge no more than one-tenth (1/10) of the total contract value, including administrative fees.
Outside of this cancellation window, an annual Espace Hygie membership or a combined Espace Hygie & La Sporthèque membership may be cancelled without penalty, provided that a written cancellation request is submitted at least thirty (30) days before the next scheduled automatic payment. Any payments due within this notice period remain payable and will not be refunded.
The membership will remain active until the end of the already-paid period, and all subsequent payments will be automatically cancelled.
You may cancel your membership at any time by submitting a written request via our cancellation form.

2.2. Short-Term Memberships
No refunds, suspensions, or cancellations will be granted for short-term memberships, including one-month (1-month) memberships, except as expressly provided under the Consumer Protection Act applicable to health studios. Any such request must be supported by appropriate documentation.

2.3. Class Passes
Class passes are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-cancellable under any circumstances.
However, they have no expiration date and may be used at any time, provided the conditions under which the service is offered remain unchanged.
You may cancel your membership at any time by submitting a written request via our cancellation form.

3. Membership Cancellation
According to the Consumer Protection Act, a contract may be cancelled within a period equal to one-tenth of the total subscription duration (i.e., 36.5 days). In such cases, the merchant is entitled to charge up to one-tenth of the total contract value, including administrative fees. The applicable legal provisions are set out in Sections 197 to 205 of the Act.
It is also possible to cancel an Espace Hygie or Espace Hygie & La Sporthèque membership without penalty, provided the cancellation request is submitted at least one month before the next payment date. Otherwise, the payment will be processed and is non-refundable. The membership will remain active until the end of the paid month. All subsequent payments will be cancelled.

4. Personal Data Processing
Your personal data is handled in accordance with Law 25. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
