NEW: We have expanded the gender identity options available in Uplifter

This affects membership registrations that clubs submit to GymBC

Previously, the GymBC Uplifter portal only had three options for the gender field: Female (F), Male (M), and Other (O). We have updated them to match the gender categories used in the NCCP Coaching database, which are as follows:

Female (F)
Male (M)
Nonbinary/Genderqueer/Gender Fluid (NB)
Two Spirit (2S)
Prefer not to answer (P)

When submitting your members via an Uplifter import file, you can use either the full text from above in your import (i.e. female, male, Nonbinary/Genderqueer/Gender Fluid, etc.), OR you can use the short code that you see in brackets after the genders listed above. That way you never have to type "Prefer not to answer" (and be susceptible to typos because it's not a single word); you can instead just type a letter "P" and Uplifter knows that "P" = "Prefer not to answer".

PLEASE NOTE: all of the individuals that were previously in Uplifter with the "Other" gender identity option, are now in the "Prefer not to answer" gender identity option. Moving forward, please update your registered individuals to use their preferred gender identity.
