Dear Member Clubs,

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent town halls. We are grateful for your time and thoughtful contributions. These conversations brought forward valuable insights and also highlighted some areas where additional clarification would be helpful. More detailed updates on specific areas will be shared in the coming weeks.

Coach Development Grants

A reminder that Coach Development Grant applications are open until June 30^th. Due to limited funding and the cost of high level courses, the priority remains for NCCP 3/4 courses, Advanced Coaching Diploma tuition and relevant professional development activities. However, all certifications are important, all applications will be considered, and we encourage all coaches to apply.

Gymnast First Grants

Although Gymnast First Grant information has not yet been updated for the upcoming season, this grant program will continue. We will circulate new information as soon as it becomes available. We encourage clubs to review the document from this season to familiarize themselves with the criteria and encourage eligible athletes to apply this coming season. 

Summer Memberships

Athletes participating only in summer camps in July & August are eligible for the Summer Gymnast Membership, available at a reduced rate of $31.

All important memos from the Gymnastics Saskatchewan office are sent through Activity Messenger under the sender name:

• Check your spam or junk folders regularly.
• Add Gymnastics Saskatchewan info@activitymessenger.com to your safe sender list.
• You may reply directly to these emails, and your message will be forwarded to the appropriate staff person.
• Contact lists are generated using the main club contact provided to us during your club membership registration each year — please make sure this information is up to date.
• We maintain a Memo Archive on our website (live since September 2024), where you can access all previously sent memos for easy reference.

Uplifter Transition

The transition to Uplifter is nearly complete. We appreciate your patience as we finalize this process. Additional instructions and support materials will be available shortly to help guide your club through any remaining steps.

Safe Sport Compliance

We recognize the challenges clubs are facing in staying compliant with the most recent Safe Sport policies. We are currently working with Sask Sport to discuss these concerns and will share more information and support tools following those conversations. That said, all member clubs are currently required to adhere to the existing Safe Sport policies in order to maintain their membership. We appreciate your efforts in navigating these requirements, and further guidance and tools will be shared following our upcoming discussions.

Insurance Education

Additional resources related to club insurance coverage and policies are being prepared. A summary of coverage details and key documents will be shared with member clubs in the near future. Based on feedback from the town halls, we are also currently exploring the possibility of additional coverage options and evaluating the associated costs.

Governance Support

We recognize that many clubs are seeking additional support in the areas of governance and planning. As part of our ongoing commitment to club development, we will offer targeted education during our upcoming AGM this fall, with further resources and opportunities to follow based on member needs. In the meantime, we are here to provide interim support to all member clubs and boards as required. Please don’t hesitate to reach out in advance of the AGM if your club has questions or needs assistance.
