Nominations are open for the 2021 GFA awards and GymBC awards! 

GFA awards categories are Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, Leader of the Year, Volunteer Team of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. The two GymBC awards are for Life Members and Members of Distinction.

EVOLVE Project Presentation

In early 2020, BC Artistic Swimming launched EVOLVE – an innovative project focused on shifting the culture of artistic swimming in BC to create a healthier space for children and youth to grow up, for people to swim, work, and volunteer, and one that is collaborative, inclusive, and self-reflective. 

Join BC Artistic Swimming Executive Director, Jennifer Keith, as she shares the EVOLVE journey and project findings with BC’s sport sector.

This webinar is open to anyone who is curious about culture change in their sport organizations, from volunteer level to board member.

Apply for a viaSport Indigenous Coach Apprenticeship 

The Canada Games Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program is an opportunity to send coaches of aboriginal descent to participate in a national multi-sport competition.

Applications are now open for this unique mentorship program featuring professional development opportunities to strengthen high-performance coaching experience and continue building capacity in Indigenous communities.

Application Deadline: January 13, 2022.
 

2022 Canadian Gymnaestrada - Deadline Extended 

In response to the delay of programs restarting due to COVID restrictions, Gymnastics Canada and the Canadian Gymnaestrada LOC have decided to extend the Nominative Registration Deadline by two weeks, moving the new registration deadline to Friday, January 28, 2022.

TG Judging Courses Move to Virtual Format

In light of the recent COVID-19 restrictions, the upcoming TG Judging Courses have been moved to a virtual format.

2022 Elite Canada Update

The 2022 Elite Canada Event that was scheduled to take place from February 16-20, 2022, at PNE Forum in Vancouver, BC has been cancelled. 

In lieu of the event, WAG is planning to host a virtual Elite Canada competition. MAG intends to look into the possibility of virtual Technical Trials in May, should there be no return to “in-person” competitions. Decisions around TG are pending, and further information on all disciplines will be released when available.
