GymCan Survey - Shaping the Future of Gymnastics

GymCan invites you to participate in an important survey and voluntarily join an online focus group to help shape the future. The purpose of this initiative is to gather valuable insights from community members, including gymnasts, coaches, judges, parents, and clubs to support their new strategic direction. 

The survey and focus groups are being conducted by an independent market research firm, Over/Zero Brand & Marketing. Your participation and responses will be held in strict confidence and only reported to Gymnastics Canada in aggregate. 

Survey Details: 

• We have prepared a 10-minute survey to understand your experiences, perceptions, and expectations regarding the sport of gymnastics.

Online Focus Groups: 

• Online focus groups will also be conducted to delve deeper into specific topics. This is an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and share your thoughts directly with Over/Zero Brand & Marketing.

ProMOTION Plus Turns Into BC Women & Sport

Sport BC has announced that a new name and brand has been developed for ProMOTION Plus. Stakeholders provided feedback for the organization, name and brand and they have decided to move forward being known as BC Women & Sport.

Canucks Autism Network - Annual Sports Day

The Canucks Autism Network (CAN) holds an annual “Sports Day” to welcome families living with autism to try new sports.

Gymnastics BC is honoured to participate this year. The event will be held at BC Place on May 11^th from 12-5 p.m.. We are looking for 7-10 coaches to volunteer for this fun event!

Regional Sport Philanthropy and Financial Literacy Workshop

The Regional Sport Alliance, in collaboration with Pacific Sport Fraser Valley and Sport BC are presenting a Regional Sport Philanthropy and Financial Literacy Workshop.

Essential Details:
Hosts: Sport Branch/Province of BC, The Regional Sport Alliance, Sport BC
Date: Saturday, April 13, 2024
Time: 9 a.m. -5 p.m.
Location: George Preston Recreation Centre, 20699 42 Ave, Langley Twp, BC V3A 3B1
Cost: Attendance is free; however, registration is required (inclusive of lunch and refreshments)

2024 Sport BC Athlete of the Year and Presidents' Awards

GymBC members attended the 2024 Sport BC Athlete of the Year and Presidents' Awards a few weeks ago! A special congratulations to the following: 

• Joanne Morcilla-Pfeffer: Presidents’ Awards Recipient, recognizing contributions of volunteers within the sports community across the province.
• Gavin Dodd: Finalist for Junior Male Athlete of the Year
• Gabby Flynn: Finalist for Senior Female Athlete of the Year

2024 WAG Optional, MAG, and TG Gymnastics BC Championships

Congratulations to everyone who competed last weekend at the 2024 WAG Optional, MAG, and TG Gymnastics BC Championships! We had a great time at the PNE Forum in Vancouver!

2024 Western Canadian Artistic Gymnastics Championships Bulletin #2

This event takes place April 18-20, 2024 and is being co-hosted by Gymnastics BC and Langley Gymnastics Foundation at the Langley Events Centre!
