Hello Graham Academy Families welcome to our Monthly Update Newsletter! 

We will endeavour to send out a monthly newsletter including updates and reminders of important dates in the schedule. This first one will be a bit longer than the others as there is a variety of information we want to share at the beginning of the year.

First, a reminder that we have set up a GA Family Resource Page on our website. This will be home to all the links we are listing below. If you have any questions or feel that there is something that should be added to this page please feel free to let us know.

For families who are on Facebook we invite you to join our Graham Academy Facebook Group, this is a closed group and different from our public Facebook page. In this group we repost things from our social media as well as share information that has been sent via email. This is also a great way to connect with other Graham Academy families. You can request to join by clicking this link, this link is also available on our GA Family Resource Page.

Next we would like to share our updated Graham Academy Handbook, we have it linked below for you to review as well as linked on the GA Family Resource Page. Our team has done lots of work over the summer condensing the handbook down and making information clear and accessible. We wanted to highlight a few specific changes/reminders for this year from the handbook, please review the full handbook for further information.

• We ask that students arrive no more than 10 minutes early for their classes.
• If the studio door downstairs is open please use that as a waiting space.
• Students should make sure they bring the following to each classes: indoor shoes (Jazz shoes), waterbottle (with their name on it), a way to keep hair out of their face, and should make sure they bring any handout materials they received from previous classes (including sheet music and eventually scripts if applicable).
• Studio students should make sure they bring their assigned materials and instruments to their lesson each week.
• A reminder to any of our returning Moonbeams from last year, that we have reduced the class time and there is no longer a snack break during this class. 
• Students must keep noise in the hallway to a minimum while waiting before classes as there are lessons going on.
• We are nut free and scent free building, however students should be mindful of personal hygiene as well.
• There will be no classes on Sept 30, Oct 12, Nov 11

Our studio invoicing schedule has been updated and posted on the Studio Information page of our website linked here and also accessible through the GA Family Resource Page. A reminder that studio invoices come out monthly and cover the previous months lessons. These invoices will be sent to the email address given when you completed your final studio registration, via our Quickbooks software. They can be paid via credit through Quickbooks, EMT to accounting@camberarts.ca, or you can connect with Meaghan in the office to pay via cash, cheque, or debit. The first studio invoice will be sent out on October 6. If you have any questions about your invoice or submitting payments make sure to visit our Studio F.A.Q page (linked below and on the GA Family Resources Page)

First payment for group programs will occur on September 30. If you paid your deposit with credit card Activity Messenger will automatically take your monthly payment from that card. If you paid your deposit via EMT, you will receive an email prompting you to make your monthly payment and you will be able to pay via credit card or EMT. If paying by EMT please make sure to follow the instructions and include the given code in the note section of the EMT. Not doing so will result in delays in applying your payment to your invoice. You can connect with Meaghan in the office to pay via cash, cheque, or debit. September 30: No Regular Class (International Day of Truth & Reconciliation)

October 12: No Regular Class (Thanksgiving)

November 11: No Regular Class (Remembrance Day)

December 4: Winter Choral Concert

December 13: Christmas Studio Recital

December 18: Term Concludes
