AGF and the Provincial and Territorial Gymnastics Sports organizations across Canada are pleased to announce the launch of SafeSport Gym Education.
SafeSport Gym Education is a collection of gymnastics organizations from across the country who worked hard to create documentary-style videos to share what safe sport means from real people, completely unscripted from real athletes, real coaches and real parents.
This is a collection of moments, feelings, and stories to educate us all.
Visit SafeSportGymEducation.org to view videos for all ages and for all people involved in our sport, in both official languages. You will also find Activity Books, Colouring Pages, and fact sheets about each video!
Feel free to browse and share and stay safe, because Safe Sport is Everyone's Responsibility.

A Word from Finance and Membership ๐ต๐ฐ๐ฒ Happy Pride month, everybody!!! ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐
And just like that the 2023-2024 Gymnastics season comes to a close, but it was a great one. Every year our members continue to show the province and the world just how special gymnastics is to them. Each season following the global pandemic, our membership numbers have grown again and again. Be it recreational or competitive, parents or tots, and birthday parties or adult classes, you all can't get enough of the gym, and I love it! Sport has the power to unite, excite, and inspire. We see that now, and we'll continue to see that during the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. I know our clubs have been patiently waiting for the 2024-2025 Membership and Insurance fees to be released so they can set up their classes for the next season. Trust me, we also want to get the prices out there as quickly as possible. Once again, I thank the clubs and their administrators for their understanding as we reported our information and evaluations to Gallagher Insurance and asked for the fairest quote available. The good news is that we finally got their response this week, and AGF was able to immediately calculate the 2024-2025 fees for our members! You can see the Membership & Insurance Fee Schedule here. Great effort was made to keep GFA, recreational, and coach's insurance at the same price as before. For Developmental and Competitive levels, the cost increases slightly, but in return, we receive an updated and enhanced Sports Accident policy with increased customer servicing. More details will be released in the coming days with a special communication. Be sure to watch for it! Once all of the new procedures have been received, you'll be able to view our website for information on the policy along with a guide on how to submit claims. In the meantime, have a wonderful long weekend! Happy 157th birthday, Canada! ๐ You don't look a day older than 150! We'll see all of you for the 2024-2025 season. All sport for all people. ๐๐

๐ฅ Getting to Know Your AGF Team! ๐ Now that we are almost halfway through 2024, what has been the highlight of your year so far?๐คฉ๐๐
|
|
Jacinda - Survived my first Alberta winter โ๏ธ Watching World Cup halfpipe at Winsport was pretty epic ๐ Next month is officially a year living in AB for me, so Iโm going to celebrate by checking out the Stampede! ๐ค Keevin - Hands down it was finally buying the hot tub Iโve been saving up for, for almost 2 years. I use it all the time, and itโs even spawned some office jokes about how serious I am about my hot tub chemicals. Also, I agree with Jacinda that the Halfpipe World Cup was EPIC! Haleigh - I saw a moose for the first time ever in my life this year!๐ซ Being new to Canada has been interesting, and it's nice to have these wonderful opportunities to experience nature and wildlife like I never have before! ๐ Mo - My highlight has to be my birthday. I'm a Leap Year baby, and when I was younger, my mom and I would celebrate my official birthday on the 29th by travelling. So this year we got the chance to rekindle that tradition by spending the time in Mexico. ๐๏ธ๐ฅฅ ๐ฅณ
Robin - Following Nationals, I was able to head to Penetanguishene, ON. It sits at the bottom of Georgian Bay and is definitely one of my happy places. Being on the water, in the water, near the water fills my soul. To be able to experience that in such a serene, beautiful place, with family I donโt get to see enough, I couldnโt ask for anything more. Except for maybe my own place in Penetang and a private jet that could whisk me off to it at a moments notice!!
Craig - In January we attended a concert with The IndigiDivas and the Calgary Philharmonic, and we were absolutely blown away. Their music absolutely filled my soul! It was incredible. โค๏ธ๐ผ๐๐๐ป
Carolyn - My year has been so busy with my kids' activities and gymnastics, but this summer we are going to San Diego and Disneyland!
Jacqueline - Seeing Artistic and TG under the same roof for Provincials! It was great to see everyone together and celebrating gymnastics ๐ Roland the Monkey - Dancing with all my friends at Provincials! ๐บ๐ชฉ
