Meeting Details - Date: Saturday November 28, 2026
- Time: 9:30am – 4:00pm
- Location: Saskatoon
- Purpose: To review annual highlights, receive the auditor’s report and appoint the auditor, elect Directors, and vote on proposed revisions to our organizational Bylaws.
Proposed Bylaw Amendments Six Bylaw Amendment proposals were received by the Gymnastics Saskatchewan Board of Directors. Said Bylaw Amendments were received by the 60-day deadline for such proposals to be submitted. To ensure our governance aligns with current best practices and with Saskatchewan non-profit act regulations, all six proposals were reviewed for compliance. One of the six proposals was determined to be non-compliant with the Non-profit Corporations Act by legal counsel and therefore has not been included in the Bylaw Amendment package. The core changes of the bylaw amendment proposals focus on three main areas: - Board Structure: Instituting a term limit whereby Board Members are limited to three terms or 9 years of service.
- Fiscal Update: Formal presentation of a Board approved budget at the AGM.
- Board Minutes: the posting of Board meeting minutes.
- Language Updates: Language changes in relation to the consideration of Bylaw Amendments.
The proposed Bylaw amendments are included below: The Agenda for the AGM, any other proposed Special Business, and further details will be circulated to the members at least 15 days prior to the AGM. All voting delegates must be registered for the AGM via the GymSask registration portal no later than November 21; otherwise they may not be permitted to attend the meeting. The link to register voting delegates can be found here. Furthermore, all voting delegates must be an individual member in good standing of Gymnastics Saskatchewan per Bylaw 11.3.d, meaning that they must be properly filed with the corporation via Uplifter and their individual dues paid. Voting delegates who do not fulfill this requirement by November 27 will be ineligible to attend or vote. Thank you for your continued dedication to our mission and community. Sincerely, Terrol Russell (CEO) & Dale Reed (Board Chair)
