Please Register Your Competitive Athletes This is a friendly reminder that if your club has competitive athletes, please ensure they are registered in the appropriate competitive category. It has come to our attention that some clubs have not yet submitted any competitive registrations for their athletes! If you currently have athletes registered in the WAG or MAG UNDECLARED competitive categories, please be aware that if they plan to compete in any of the December GymBC-sanctioned competitions, you must first withdraw them from the UNDECLARED category before registering them in the correct category for their competition(s). Click here for detailed instructions on how to change your competitive athletes’ membership categories. As in previous years, March 1, 2026 will mark the deadline for finalizing competitive WAG/MAG athlete registration categories. After this date, categories will remain unchanged until after the GymBC Championships. Athletes may move up in category but cannot move down without petitioning the appropriate discipline’s Technical Committee. If you have any questions, please contact Catherine at membership@gymbc.org. PS – Are you unsure about how to present GymBC membership fees to your club’s members? Click here for an informative article on this topic.

Competitive Athlete Transfers An athlete may register with a new club only after the following conditions have been fulfilled: - The new club must notify GymBC by submitting a Competitive Athlete Transfer Request form; and
- The current club approves the transfer within 10 days of receiving the request from GymBC; or
- If no response is provided by the current club within 10 days after notification of the transfer request.
Once these conditions have been satisfied, GymBC will proceed to register the athlete with the new club. Be aware that athlete transfer requests are mandatory even between membership years or seasons. A new membership year does not automatically allow a competitive athlete to switch clubs without initiating a transfer request.
