RE: Athlete of the Year Nominees

We are pleased to announce that the following athletes have been nominated for the Athlete of the Year award! 

Western Stream Athlete of the Year

  • Eloise Kadotchnikov, WRGC
  • Kyla Montan-Sheppard, WRGC
  • Juwon Park, WRGC

National/HP Stream Athlete of the Year

  • Molly Mayer, WRGC
  • Kristina Khrypushyna, WRGC
  • Sara-Marie Barry, WRGC

This communication has been distributed to all clubs of the above athletes. It is the club’s responsibility to forward this message to the athletes, as it contains important information.
  • The above finalists have been selected by the GymSask Technical Committees, and the winner will be announced at the upcoming 2026 Awards Gala. 
  • This year's gala is scheduled for Saturday, Oct 17th, at Darke Hall in Regina - Cocktails and appetizers at 5PM, program at 6PM. The banquet is semi-formal dress. 
  • During the show, a short video presentation will be played to introduce the nominees. The winner will then be announced and invited to the stage to accept their award and deliver a short speech.
  • In order to prepare a presentation for each nominee, we would ask that you please complete the questionnaire and media submissions to sarah@brandfulstudio.com no later than August 28. 
    • Please do not add any music, text or special effects to the video. 
    • If you are an Artistic WAG athlete, Acro, or a Rhythmic athlete, please email a copy of your floor music which may be used in the video.
    • If the required materials are not received by August 28, no video will be created, and the nominee’s name will simply be announced.

  • We are currently finalizing the event ticketing page with Darke Hall. 
  • Once the ticket page is up and running, nominees will be asked to confirm their attendance by ordering their complimentary ticket online.
  • Additional tickets may be purchased for friends and family to attend at the regular price of $50 per ticket, plus applicable fees.
  • Confirmation of attendance - date TBC 
  • Deadline to submit presentation materials - Aug 28, 2026
