New GymBC CEO - Jennifer Keith

GymBC is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The role of CEO is pivotal in guiding our organization towards achieving its mission and serving our members and stakeholders effectively. 

After an extensive search with the assistance of Watson Board Advisors, we are thrilled to announce that Jennifer Keith will be joining GymBC as our new CEO, effective August 20, 2024. Host Opportunity: AAI Power Elite Floor Testing

American Athletic Inc. (AAI) has achieved FIG certification for their cutting-edge AAI Power Elite Floor and seeks an international testing venue for final approval.

Seeking a gym with high-level athletes or a prestigious training camp to host the floor for a camp or up to 6-8 weeks. Already established in the USA, this floor is the official choice for NCAA Championships.

2024-25 GymBC Member Club Renewal Form Now Available

The club membership fee for the upcoming new membership year is $600. Reminder that any Member Club Renewal Forms and/or payments received after August 31, 2024 will be subject to a $50 late fee. Renewals will NOT be accepted after September 30, 2024.

The June 30, 2024 – June 30, 2025 COI is available and was sent to clubs this week. If you didn’t receive it or have any questions, please email Justin at safety@gymbc.org.

2024 Gymnastics BC Awards & Scholarships Celebration

GymBC is thrilled to announce that we have a date for the 2024 Gymnastics BC Awards and Scholarships Celebration! This event, presented by Sport Burnaby is a celebration of our communities achievements and successes in the 2023-24 season.

WAG Annual Judges Meeting - Rescheduled

The WAG Annual Judges Meeting (AJM) has been rescheduled to August 13, 2024 at 7:00pm. Nominations are currently being accepted for the role of WAG Judging Chair, and you can nominate someone to the role through the registration form or by emailing judging@gymbc.org! We want to thank Lisa Laundry for her dedicated work as chair this past year.

Comp 2 TG Coaching Course

A Comp 2 (Competition Introduction Advanced) TG coaching course has been added to the calendar. This is the first time this course will be run in BC, and will be run by Master Coach Developer Antoine Vallières, August 12-14, 2024.
