Reminder Regarding Injury/Accident Reporting Clubs are reminded that injuries/accidents MUST be reported to GymBC to as soon as possible after they occur and within 48 hours of the incident. If an eligible participant’s injury may result in rehabilitation costs that exceed paramedical benefits that they have access to through their employment or their parent/guardian’s employment, then they should file an insurance claim. Member clubs should send the completed Sport Accident Claim Form to GymBC’s Sport Safety Officer (safety@gymbc.org), within 25-days of the injury to start the claim process with the insurance company. Failure to submit claims outside of the deadline or submitting incomplete forms may result in the claim being denied. The GymBC Injury and Accident Report Form can be found here. In Memoriam: Kathy Arnolds We regret to inform you of the passing of Kathy Arnolds. Kathy played an integral role in the Ontario Men's Artistic Gymnastics community, and many of our community members in BC held a close relationship with Kathy and her husband, Dave. Known for her cheerful voice, positive attitude, and empathy for others, she will be missed by many. Pictured to the left, is Kathy coaching which was featured on a Gymnastics Canada greeting card from the 1990s. On behalf of Gymnastics BC, we send our deepest condolences to Kathy's loved ones during this difficult time. |
