2022 Call for Gymnastics Canada Board of Director Nominations Gymnastics Canada is seeking nominations of individuals to stand for several Director-at-Large positions that will be elected at their 2022 AGM, and who will each serve for a four-year term (2022-2026). Canada Winter Games Leotard Design Contest! GymBC has launched a summer leotard design contest for our WAG team! The team will be traveling to the 2023 Canada Winter Games (CWG) in Prince Edward Island. The contest will be open until August 6, 2022. The top submissions will be revealed on our Instagram channel, and a winner picked by CWG hopefuls in September. For full contest details and to download the design template, visit the GymBC website.

Of particular interest to GymBC clubs may be: These grants aim to support a variety of sport initiatives from sport participation, high performance needs, gender equity, hosting, education and leadership, programming for under-served groups and more.

2022 World Games (TG) Results The 2022 World Games were held in Birmingham, Alabama, July 7-17th, and showcased a new generation of Global Sports. BC athletes Gabby Flynn (SHA) and Taylor Pillinger (VIP) were among 3,600 elite athletes from over 100 countries selected to represent more than 30 of the fastest growing sports in the world. Gabby Flynn finished in 7th place in Double Mini Trampoline and Taylor Pillinger finished in 9th place in Tumbling. Congratulations to both of them on a successful first World Games event!

2022 Pan Ams Results Team Canada MAG & WAG showed up in full force at the 2022 Pan Am Championships! BC athletes are heading home having earned the following: - Kai Iwaasa (Phoenix): Junior Team Silver, 11th AA, 7th Floor, 4th Rings, 7th High Bar
- Shallon Olsen (Flicka): Senior Team Bronze, 5th Vault
- Sydney Turner (TAG): Senior Team Bronze, 4th AA, Bronze Uneven Bars, 5th Beam, 8th Floor
The impressive performances earned the both the Senior MAG and WAG Teams qualifications to the 2022 World Championships. Congratulations to all of the Team Canada athletes and coaches!

2022 TG Canadian Championships BC’s largest ever contingent will be in Calgary this week to compete in the 2022 Canadian Championships. This will be the first in-person Championships since 2019. The event was held in 2021 as a virtual event. More than 70 athletes, many competing at their first Championships, will be vying for national titles. This event also serves as the final selection for the 2022 World Age Group Championships to be held in Sofia, Bulgaria in November. Fresh off medal wins at World Cups in Italy and the Coimbra Gym Fest in Portugal, Gabby Flynn, Gavin Dodd, Kayla Howell and Brooklyn Lee-McMeeken will be ones to watch. Joint MAG/WAG Camp - Kelowna, BC The BC Men’s and Women’s program are hosting a joint camp for our MAG and WAG athletes with a focus on tumbling and air awareness. We will be bringing in Denis Vachon as our tumbling clinician and Marty Myers as our trampoline clinician. Both have extensive knowledge and experience in their respective disciplines. The camp will be open to Canada Games eligible athletes, with priority given as outlined on the registration page. The camp will be hosted by Okanagan Gymnastics Centre in Kelowna, BC.
