GymBC Holiday Office Hours

The GymBC office will be closed from December 22, 2023 - January 1, 2024 inclusively, reopening on January 2, 2024.

Some staff may work remotely and at intermittent hours during this time, but please anticipate a longer response time for any inquiries. 

We would like to wish everyone a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy new year!

Reminder to Sign Up for Coaching Courses

Make sure to register soon for any coaching courses over the holidays! 

Due to our holiday office closure, all course registrations for courses December 27, 2023 through January 6, 2024 will close at 4:00pm on December 21, 2023.

2024 Provincially Hosted Events Information Available 

Information is available for the upcoming 2024 Gymnastics BC Championships, GymBC Xcel Challenge, Western Canadian Artistic Gymnastics Championships, and BC Gymnaestrada! Please click on the links below to view the separate event pages where information will be consistently updated. The first event workplan for each event has been released:

BC Championships and Gymnaestrada Bidding - Deadline Extended!

We have extended the deadline for bidding to host 2026 and 2027 BC Championships and Xcel Challenge, and the 2025 and 2026 BC Gymnaestrada events. The new deadline is January 31, 2024.

2024-25 Sanction Event Requests Open

The first round of bidding for 2024-25 sanctioned events is open! This round will remain open until February 15, 2024.

Dare to Care Anti Bullying Coach Training

GymBC is excited to partner with Dare to Care to offer a free Anti Bullying Course for coaches! Dare to Care is a unique program regarded as Canada's most comprehensive and practical bully prevention program. Dare to Care enables schools, sports organizations, community groups, and workplaces to mobilize and maintain a caring community.

This online seminar takes place on January 20, 2024 from 2:30 - 5 p.m. Click here to register! 

Call for Volunteers - Team BC Staff

GymBC is looking for volunteers to be a part of the Team BC Staff for the following events in 2024:

• Artistic Western Canadian Championships (MAG & WAG), April 18-20, 2024, Langley, BC
• Western Canada Cup (TG), May 24-26, 2024, Regina, SK
• Artistic & TG Canadian Championships (MAG, WAG, TG), June 5-9, 2024, Gatineau, QC (travel likely June 3-10)

Team BC MAG Athletes in Japan 

Team BC MAG athletes are returning from a recent trip to Japan! The athletes trained at Chukyo University and Osaka University of Health & Sport Sciences (OUHS), and competed against local Japanese teams at OUHS. Click here to view scores.
