2021-22 GymBC Member Club Survey An e-mail was sent to all GymBC member clubs yesterday with an invitation to complete our 2021-22 Member Club Survey (one per club). If you are a club manager or lead administrator that did not receive this, please contact info@gymbc.org. Club participation is crucial to help GymBC gain an accurate understanding of how we can better serve our member organizations. More Rewards Fueling Sport Program More Rewards Fueling Sport is a program in partnership with Save-On-Foods. There are two pathways in this program; one for high performance athletes, and another for community youth sport teams. 1) Athlete Ambassadors (High Performance/Elite Athletes) Athlete ambassadors receive weekly stipends of free groceries, discounts, bonus More Rewards points, as well as incremental bonuses. If you are an athlete striving to improve your performance, apply here: Elite Athletes - Apply Here 2) Community Sport Program This arm of programming is currently in ‘pilot mode’, and is geared towards youth teams at any level of competition. Registered teams can easily fundraise using their More Rewards cards at Save-On-Foods, as well as receive exclusive discounts and bonus points on snack items throughout their season. Team BC Uniform Sizing A communication piece was sent to all clubs with information on sizing for Team BC uniforms. Please contact your club (parents/athletes) or the relevant GymBC technical coordinator (clubs) if you did not receive this information. In-person sizing for out-of-town athletes and coaches* will be offered at the Christy Fraser Memorial Invitational/TG BC Championships this weekend. Please refer to page 3 of the document linked below for the sizing schedule. When possible, athletes are asked to arrive in a group with a coach or designated representative from their club. Clubs located within the Lower Mainland will need to organize delivery of sizing totes (more information in package). *Exception: ALL MAG athletes attending the Saltos Gymnastics Challenge must be sized on Saturday.

Team BC Staff Applications Applications are now open for Team BC managers and chaperones! We kindly ask for clubs to forward the form below to your communities. Dates and locations for Westerns and Western Canada Cup are finalized, but GymCan is yet to set a date and location for Canadian Championships. Application Deadline: February 28, 2022.

2022 TG Elite Canada TG Elite Canada will be held virtually from March 16-20, 2022. Elite Canada welcomes national athletes’ level 5 through senior in Trampoline, Double Mini and Tumbling. This event will serve as a trials for national team selection as well as selection the 2022 World Championships, 2022 World Age Group, 2022 Pan Am Championships and the 2022 World Games. Registration Deadline: February 21, 2022.

2022 TG Western Canada Cup GymBC and the TG community are extremely pleased to be hosting the 2022 TG Western Canada Cup. The first bulletin is on the event page. This event will bring provincial level athletes from BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan back to BC and back in person for the first time since 2019! Whether representing Team BC or your personal club, the title of Western Canada Cup Champion is up for grabs. Good luck to everyone!

WAG Uneven Bars Update Bar width CCP level 9: the Women’s Program Committee (WPC) unanimously decided that for all level 9, any bar width can be used (same as level 10). The GymCan CCP manual will be updated soon and will read: - Diagonal: no maximum width (within equipment manufacturer’s safety limitations).
- Coaches whose athletes are using CCP as a stepping stone to HP can decide themselves to keep FIG width if they would like.

MAG IST Nutrition Session The Men's Program will be hosting a virtual Nutrition webinar with Dr. Marieta Buse for all CSI Pacific Targeted Athletes - the first in a series of virtual IST sessions offered this year in lieu of in-person camps. This series of sessions is an identified activity under the IPS program and will count towards the mandatory activities for CSI-P targeted athletes. If an athlete is unable to attend a session, please contact Thorstein (tfischer@gymbc.org). This session is free for all CSI-P athletes and will take place on Sunday, 27 Feb 2022 at 18:00 via Zoom. Athletes will need to register via the link below. The Zoom link will only be sent to those who register. Parents are encouraged to join the webinar with their child.

MAG Canada Games Trip Due to extenuating circumstances in Québec, the original trip to Montréal will not be happening. Instead, the selected teams will be going to Edmonton, AB and competing at the Salto Gymnastics Challenge against Team AB on 12–13 March. Selection will still take place following the Christy Fraser Memorial Invitational. The team will be traveling to Edmonton, AB on 8 March, with a return on 13 March. From 8 March to 11 March, a training camp will take place at the Tawatinaw facility one hour north of Edmonton. Athletes will have to pay the competition registration fee of $150. Food will be provided at the Tawatinaw Camp free of charge. Food in Edmonton will be at the athletes' expense. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the Men's Program.
