This communication has been distributed to all clubs of the above athletes. It is the club’s responsibility to forward this message to the athletes, as it contains important information.

  • The Sask First Program was implemented to give Saskatchewan’s gymnasts and their coaches more training experience and to improve the level of gymnastics in the province. The program’s overall objective is to improve results at all future Western, National and International competitions.
  • These teams may receive access to training camps depending on the timing of the team selection and discipline.
  • These athletes may also receive travel funding to the major competitions that they have qualified to attend.
  • Athletes must submit their Team Sask Intake Form, which collects information such as travel details, code of conduct agreements, and acknowledgement of the team travel handbook. This is to be filled out by new and returning athletes.
  • Athletes must purchase a track jacket for an additional cost using the online form here. Track jackets are the same as the 2025-2026 season. If your athlete already has a track jacket there is no need to order a new one.
  • This season we will be getting new leotards and singlets, at this time we are just collecting sizes, which is included in the intake form. Final designs and cost TBD.
  • Please review the Provincial Team Handbook in full as it contains important information. Athletes are expected to travel with Team Saskatchewan unless otherwise approved.
  • If you have a question that is not addressed in the handbook, please reach out to the following program coordinators:
    • WAG - Karly Hayes at wag@gymsask.com
    • MAG - Kelsey Berscheid at kberscheid@gymsask.com
    • TG - Danielle Roy and Eb Campbell at technical@gymsask.com
    • RG & Acro - Dalena Juárez at djuarez@gymsask.com

(pg 8 of the team handbook above)

We will be holding various training camps as well as Sport Science sessions this season. More information to come on schedule for camps and competitions for each tier.

  • If an athlete is no longer interested or able to participate on Team Saskatchewan for this event, written notification must be sent to the relevant Program Coordinator within 48 hours of this notice. If notification is not received within this timeframe, fees may apply, as travel arrangements will begin to be booked for the event.
  • If an athlete is injured, we will work with them to pursue a medical refund for the event; however, this cannot be guaranteed. Any unrecoverable costs may be charged back to the athlete, including fees payable to the LOC if a refund is not obtained.

Competition and Training Camp information TBD
