2025 Compulsory & Xcel GymBC Championships Events

Registration deadlines are fast approaching for the 2025 Compulsory & Xcel GymBC Championships events. 

🗓️ First Registration Deadline - March 16, 2025
🗓️ Final Registration Deadline - March 23, 2025

Absolutely no late entries will be accepted. Please ensure that your athletes and coaches are registered on time to avoid any disappointment.

Gymnix Competition Highlights

A huge congratulations to our BC athletes on their incredible performances at Gymnix! 

🥈 Aaliyah DeSousa (Flip City, National Team) qualified for the Challenge bars final and earned silver!
💫 Emily Kim (Flip City, Espoir) made the Junior beam final!

And many more amazing achievements in the CCP & Open categories! Way to go, everyone! 

BC Athletes at the Grizzly Classic

🤸‍♂️ Five BC MAG athletes: Alec Ikeda (TWS), Reuben Dykstra (LGF), Nathan Dykstra (LGF), Parker Smith (LGF), and Aiden Gonzalez (LGF), are set to represent Team Canada at the Grizzly Classic next weekend in Airdrie, AB, with Keita Kuramoto (LGF) named as the team’s alternate. 

The Grizzly Classic is Canada’s only MAG international competition and will welcome Junior teams from the USA and Mexico. Coaches Kris Krunick (LGF) and Richard Ikeda (TWS) will join their athletes as the team coaches.

Attention Parents of High-Performance Gymnasts!

GymCan is collaborating with Working with Parents in Sport (WWPIS) on an exciting new initiative to support parents of youth gymnasts (ages 12-15) through a webinar series and exclusive online resources. Topics will include athlete-coach communication, supporting your athlete, and building positive relationships with coaches and clubs.

If you are a parent of a gymnast in the following categories, you are invited to participate:

✅ WAG: HP Novice (12-13) & Juniors (14-15) 
✅ TG: Age Groups (12-14)
