Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games: Celebrating Our Achievements
Heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games!
Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG): Congratulations to Shallon Olsen and Team Canada for their remarkable fifth-place finish in the women’s team final! Shallon’s vault performance earned her a 14.400 — the highest score of the evening for a Canadian gymnast!
Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG): A round of applause for Zachary Clay and Team Canada, who finished eighth in the men’s team final. Zachary's outstanding Pommel Horse performance resulted in a score of 14.133! Additionally, Team Canada MAG made history by securing a spot in the Olympic Team Finals for the first time ever!
The last day of competition is on August 5, 2024, when the Men’s Parallel Bars Final and Women’s Balance Beam Final will take place, beginning at 2:45 am (PBars) and 3:38 am (Beam).

Special recognition goes to Sydney Turner from TAG Sports Centre, coached by Barb Fraser, who joined the team in Paris as a replacement athlete. Congratulations also to BC coaches Richard Ikeda and Dorina Stan, who were part of the Canadian Delegation, and to Andrée Montreuil, who proudly represented Canada as a WAG judge in Paris.
