Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games: Celebrating Our Achievements

Heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games!

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG): Congratulations to Shallon Olsen and Team Canada for their remarkable fifth-place finish in the women’s team final! Shallon’s vault performance earned her a 14.400 — the highest score of the evening for a Canadian gymnast!

Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG): A round of applause for Zachary Clay and Team Canada, who finished eighth in the men’s team final. Zachary's outstanding Pommel Horse performance resulted in a score of 14.133! Additionally, Team Canada MAG made history by securing a spot in the Olympic Team Finals for the first time ever!

The last day of competition is on August 5, 2024, when the Men’s Parallel Bars Final and Women’s Balance Beam Final will take place, beginning at 2:45 am (PBars) and 3:38 am (Beam).

Trampoline Gymnastics (TG): For all the TG fans, the competition starts tomorrow, August 2, 2024! Click here for the schedule!

Special recognition goes to Sydney Turner from TAG Sports Centre, coached by Barb Fraser, who joined the team in Paris as a replacement athlete. Congratulations also to BC coaches Richard Ikeda and Dorina Stan, who were part of the Canadian Delegation, and to Andrée Montreuil, who proudly represented Canada as a WAG judge in Paris.

Your hard work and dedication have made us all proud. Here’s to celebrating these extraordinary achievements!

2024-25 GymBC Member Club Renewal Form Now Available

The club membership fee for the upcoming new membership year is $600. Reminder that any Member Club Renewal Forms and/or payments received after August 31, 2024 will be subject to a $50 late fee. Renewals will NOT be accepted after September 30, 2024.

Registration Open - WAG Tricks & Reconciliation Camp

Registration is open for the WAG Tricks & Reconciliation Camp on September 30, 2024. This camp will run as 6 rotations of 8 athletes (VT, UB, BB, FX, Tramp, Dance) with a clinician for each rotation. Registration also includes a Truth & Reconciliation workshop and a t-shirt.

Exciting Update for Pro-D Day on September 20th

We’re excited to announce a new addition to the 2024 Pro-D Day Schedule: Inclusive Training: A Spectrum of Strategies. 

Join Ability Training Co in this webinar where you will learn a spectrum of strategies to implement with neurodivergent participants at your gym! This session will help guide coaches in being more prepared for any scenario that's going to be thrown at you in the gym.
