Celebrating an Exciting Third Quarter

The third quarter was filled with exciting milestones for the Saskatchewan gymnastics community. From hosting successful provincial events and welcoming athletes from across the province, to celebrating outstanding performances at national and international competitions, the momentum continues to grow. We also saw continued growth in participation through community initiatives, coach development opportunities, and Gymnastics for All programming, showcasing the strength and diversity of our sport.

As we look ahead to another exciting season, thank you to our clubs, coaches, athletes, officials, volunteers, and supporters for making these achievements possible.

Team Saskatchewan Gymnaestrada Launches First-Ever IST Session

Team Saskatchewan Gymnaestrada took part in its first-ever Integrated Support Team (IST) session with Craven SPORT Services, marking an exciting milestone for our program. This partnership represents a new era of athlete support within the participation stream, providing participants with access to expert resources that promote performance, well-being, and long-term enjoyment of sport. We are excited to continue building this relationship and expanding the support available to our Team Saskatchewan athletes.

Dream Brokers Wraps Up with Big Impact

Our Dream Brokers programming concluded on June 10 after delivering 63 sessions to 1,305 participants, averaging 21 students per session. The enthusiastic response from schools highlighted a strong demand for gymnastics programming and the opportunity to introduce more children to our sport in a fun, positive environment. Building on this success, Gymnastics Saskatchewan is exploring a province-wide school-to-club model that will strengthen connections between schools and local clubs while creating even more opportunities for young people to experience gymnastics.

Provincial Gymnaestrada Celebrated Gymnastics for All

The 2026 Provincial Gymnaestrada was held on May 24 at the Saskatoon Field House, welcoming 230 participants from across Saskatchewan and representing a variety of gymnastics disciplines. The event celebrated the spirit of Gymnastics for All, bringing together athletes of all ages and abilities to showcase creativity, teamwork, and a love of movement in a fun, inclusive environment.

Our Senior Acro Trio was named Senior Acrobatic Partnership of the Year for 2025, while Coach Danni was recognized as the Senior Acrobatic Coach of the Year.

Congratulations to Jordan Carroll, who captured gold in the Senior Men’s Pommel Horse at Canadian Championships, and earned selection to both the Pan American Championships Team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the Commonwealth Games Team in Glasgow, Scotland.

Congratulations to Danica Signarowski, who captured the CCP Level 10 (16+) All-Around Championship while also earning multiple event medals at Canadian Championships. 

13 athletes, 2 coaches, and 2 judges participated at the 2026 Rhythmic Western Championships, brining home mutiplie medals and two All Around Championships - Kristina Khrypushyna and Sara-Marie Barry!

History was made at the Canadian Championships as Saskatchewan’s Men’s Trampoline Team captured gold for the first time ever!

Dalena and Ben were honoured to attend the 8th Annual Educational Gathering by the Prairie River Reconciliation Circle, Threads of Truth, at One Arrow Cultural Lodge in May. 

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible speakers and storytellers who shared their truth so openly, to One Arrow First Nation for hosting us so beautifully, and to the organizers of this meaningful gathering for creating such an impactful space for connection, reflection, and education.

Congratulations to CEO Terrol Russell, who was invited to present at the 2026 Sask Sport Membership Meetings in June. During his High Performance Session, Terrol highlighted the work Gymnastics Saskatchewan is doing to strengthen our high performance system and shared the vision behind Project 2032—our long-term initiative to create sustainable pathways for athletes, coaches, and clubs while positioning Saskatchewan for future success. 

A total of 380,000 people were reached via Social Media. 

Social media posts featured events and athlete successes throughout the competition season, as well as volunteer recruitment for upcoming events.

Our highest-performing reel this quarter was a highlight video showcasing Acrobatic Gymnastics at Provincial Championships, the first time Acro has been a part of the competition!
