RE: Coaching Course Calendar for 2025-2026
Hello Clubs,
As we move into the 2025-2026 season, we have reviewed our procedures and will be adapting the way we schedule coaching courses.
We understand there is a need for additional coaching courses throughout the year, but the timing of courses can sometimes pose a challenge for clubs and coaches. As a potential solution, we would like to include our member clubs more in the scheduling of courses.
Found in the Activity Messenger link below, is a list of the courses we would like to run throughout the 2025-2026 season. Please review the list and sign-up for the courses that you have availability to host.
We are optimistic this process will assist clubs and coaches with their season planning. By providing GymSask with dates that work best for you and your coaches, it should alleviate some of the scheduling difficulties in getting coaches trained.
Clubs can sign up for courses at the following link: https://activitymessenger.com/p/UlqoWIe
Process:
Clubs - Please sign-up for courses you have availability to run September to December (a separate sign-up form will be circulated for Winter/Spring courses).
*Please see the notes below to ensure a smooth process:
- Clubs may provide multiple available dates for the courses they would like to host
- Clubs are required to dedicate their gym space to the course
- Courses cannot be pushed aside or overshadowed by training or other events
Courses will be assigned and scheduled with consideration of the following:
- Location and timing of courses throughout the province
- Number of courses each club has requested to host
- Clubs requesting to host a Comp 1 WAG/MAG/TG course are required to assist in securing athlete demonstrators
Clubs will be notified if they’ve been assigned a course once a course facilitator has been confirmed.
Note:
- Courses may be cancelled due to low registration and/or lack of athlete demonstrators.
- The minimum number of registrations required for Gymnastics Foundations courses is 8 coaches & the minimum for Competition Stream courses is 5 coaches.
- Additional in-person and virtual courses may be added throughout the season as needed.
