A dedicated group showing their support and effort to educating athletes, parents, and coaches about what safe sport means in a way that is positive and engaging. These videos were created with the athlete in mind and was a project every athlete, coach and parent volunteered their time to be a part of. Gym Sask was pleased to contribute to this project and hopes that clubs will incorporate these videos into their ongoing education efforts on safe sport. SafeSport Gym Education | Animation (Ages 9 and Under) This video is intended for a young audience and was created to engage them in basic learning of Safe Sport in a fun, educational way. The goal of this video is to share what it feels like to be kind, the difference between right and wrong, how and when to talk to adults, and how to work with a team. Through situational adventure, the diverse group of characters overcomes challenges and ultimately get a sense of safe sport leadership in gymnastics. |

SafeSport Gym Education | Athletes 9+ Video What is safe sport? Why is it so important? How do we share “feeling” safe in a visual way? These are all questions that this collection of gymnastics clubs from across the country worked together to answer and understand. This video was NOT scripted. It was done in a documentary style with several interviews from athletes from all levels, coaches, and parents who love the sport for so many reasons. These are their thoughts. These are their stories. We are passionate about letting real stories live and teach our next generations of athletes. |

This documentary style video was not scripted, instead these are real accounts from real people. The idea for the videos came from a group called Safe Sport Gym Education. A collection of clubs from across the country who saw a need to work together to create something special and truly show the community that does exist in the sport regardless of where you are or what discipline you love.
