LEVEL ASSESSMENT TESTS:
I. Registration and level assessment tests are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
II. New students or those whose previous registration dates back more than a year must book a verbal level assessment lasting 5 to 10 minutes. If the new student has never taken French classes in the past and has no background, the assessment test is not required to register in a Beginner 1 class.
III. Students who attended one of our courses last year can begin their registration one week before new students. No verbal test is required. 
IV. A level assessment test can also be conducted by phone with one of our teachers. Students will need to pay an administrative fee of $10.00 before taking the assessment. No refunds will be issued in the case of cancellation. Please contact us if you wish to change the time of your phone appointment.

V. Given the limited number of spots for our tests, we ask that you notify us at least 2 hours in advance if you cannot attend your test. This way, we can offer your spot to someone else.
 
 

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT:
I.    Our courses are open to individuals aged 16 and older.
II.    Full payment is required at the time of registration.
III.    Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
IV.    Course fees will not be prorated for students who join the class after the start date.
V.    Courses can be purchased:
a.    Online

c.    In person at 1551 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver (CASH, DEBIT, VISA, MASTERCARD, CHEQUE)

REFUND POLICIES:
I.    Le Centre reserves the right to interrupt or reorganize courses. Courses that do not meet a minimum enrollment will be canceled. In this case, students may request a full refund of the fees paid for the course.
II.   Students wishing to cancel their registration before the start of a course may do so by emailing info@lecentreculturel.com and receive a full refund of course fees.
III.   To cancel their registration and receive a refund after classes have started, students must email info@lecentreculturel.com at least 24 hours before the second scheduled class. This refund is limited to 85% of the course price. After this period, no refunds will be issued.
IV.   Due to corporate governance rules, our annual membership fee is non-refundable.

ABSENTEEISM TOLERANCE:
I.   Students enroll in our courses for the entire semester and no prorated fee applies for shorter durations. If a student misses a class for personal reasons, Le Centre cannot be held responsible and a no credit or refund policy applies.
II.   A course certificate is issued to students who attend at least 80% of the classes scheduled in their program. This means that a student must attend 8 out of 10 classes during fall and winter semesters and 7 out of 8 classes during spring and summer semesters.
III.   Students who miss more than 20% of classes will not receive an attendance certificate.
IV.   In case an instructor is absent for a class, a makeup class will be organized at the end of the session. If you cannot attend this makeup class, it will not be considered an absence. However, no refunds will be granted.
V.   If we are unable to offer a replacement class, partial refunds will be provided on a prorated basis.

HOLIDAYS:
I.   Classes will not take place on public holidays in British Columbia.
II.   Makeup classes will be organized at the end of the semester to compensate for classes postponed due to public holidays.

SPECIAL CASES:
I.   Any request for level change must be emailed to info@lecentreculturel.com at least 48 hours before your third class. This change will only be validated with your instructor's agreement and subject to availability in the desired level. Please discuss this with your instructor before contacting us.
II.   Any request for course change within the same level (format or day) must be emailed to info@lecentreculturel.com, also at least 48 hours before your third class. This change will be validated subject to availability.
III.   No course changes will be accepted after the third class.

The Francophone Cultural Centre of Vancouver does not tolerate or accept any form of violence, bullying, harassment, or discrimination within its organization.   

By enrolling in one of our classes, each student agrees to: 

• Respect their teacher; 
• Respect other students; 
• Respect the Centre staff. 

 The Centre reserves the right to terminate services offered to a student, with no possibility of refund, in the event that these rules are not respected.
