Call for Volunteers

Equipment Move
May 29:  3:30pm-7:30pm
June 12 (after the show - approx. 7:30 pm)
June 13 

Due to the facility closure date, it has been decided to try to move the Year End Show venue into the NDCC arena.

Achieving this goal will necessitate a significant volunteer effort from our members. The spring floor and various small pieces of equipment will need to be transported into and out of the NDCC.

If the Club doesn’t receive adequate volunteer support for this endeavor, the show location will remain at the Civic Center, which puts it at risk of cancellation.

Tentative moving plan

We recognize the volunteer time 3:30-7:30 is broad and it may not be possible to help for the entire time.  We realize many parents work until 5pm or later. Respond as best you can with your availability so we can organize and plan accordingly. A plan will be circulated to everyone who submits the form. 

A tentative plan may look like:

May 29:

• 3:30 pm: Coaches to start prepping 
• 4:00 pm: Small equipment starting to move. A small group (3-4) to be scheduled. 1 truck or trailer is adequate. 
• 5:00 pm or 5:30 pm: Heavier work and trucks moving of large carpet rolls. More people and an additional truck or trailer might be useful.  
• 6:00 pm: Heavy work start. Lots of strong people needed. Move of plywood floor panels. Gloves strongly recommended. 

June 12:

The move starts after the Year End Show finishes (around 7:30 pm). We've not had a specific plan for June 12 yet. More details will be circulated later.

June 13:

We might need the June 13 if the move workload can't be completed after the Year End Show Night

Volunteer Availability

We'll email everyone the plan of action once we know how many people can help and their availability.

Trucks & Trailer 

A few trucks or trailers will be helpful. We will organize this depending on what’s available to us.
Please respond accordingly if you can provide a truck or trailer. 
We will confirm with you once a plan is ready.
