Notice of Annual General Meeting & Special Resolution The Annual General Meeting of the Manitoba Horse Council will be held via zoom on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The meeting starts at 6:00pm. The first agenda item for the AGM will be the approval of revisions to the bylaws proposed by the Board of Directors. The resolution will be: The Members confirm the amendments to the bylaws as proposed by the Directors. The MHC Directors have amended the bylaws to provide them with the flexibility to better govern the organization and to engage in succession planning for the Board. The amendments address the composition, eligibility, selection, terms of office, meetings, voting, conflict of interest, and duties of the Board of Directors. Amendments also allow for electronic meetings and email notice of meetings. The amended bylaws can be read on the MHC website: https://manitobahorsecouncil.ca/BoardOfDirectors The AGM is one of two regular meetings per year of the Council of Clubs. Each Club is entitled to appoint a representative to the Council of Clubs who will have voting privileges at these meetings. Representatives must meet the following qualifications: · Be an individual member in good standing of MHC. · Be a member of good standing of your club. · Be a resident of Manitoba. · Be at least 18 years of age.
